This clean and oh-so-comfortable bedroom is the quintessential city home! It comfortably sleeps two, and has space for all of your belongings, and two hosts who are eager to share their little chunk of the city with you!
This amazing East Village apartment has 2 bedrooms (we're renting 1), a bathroom, a gorgeous kitchen with dishwasher, gas stove, oven, microwave, and plenty of prep space, if cooking is your thing, and a pour-over coffee setup and an espresso machine. Our style just came together, but I guess we call it urban rustic—think stainless with dark wood, tons of sunlight, and a few pretty cool pieces on the walls. Every shelf was hand-finished by yours-truly, and our dining table was built by a friend.
We're both bartenders, read more about us in our profile! We'd love to be your great guide around the City. Us aside (and there will usually be only one of us, if either, in the apartment at once), we have Netflix, Hulu+, Wifi, Hifi, a 50" TV, fresh towels and sheets for you, and most importantly, a place you can come home to during your stay. There's a great and fast laundry dropoff service a block away, and several grocery stores as well.
We live in an amazing vibrant neighborhood that's, above all, safe, and brimming with personality. During the day there are plenty of families out, and at night, there is no shortage of incredible places to grab a drink. We live in the epicenter of the world's cocktail scene, a 5 minute walk from PDT, Death and Co, Amor y Amargo, The Wayland, and a 10 minute walk from the subway that will take you to some of the finest restaurants in the world, serving all cuisines and budgets. The apartment is half a block from Tompkins Square Park, a great place for people-watching and catching some shade during the summer. The M9 bus, also near us, is a straight shot to Chinatown and the Financial district, and the M14 will take you to the Union Square, the Meatpacking District and the West Village.
We love pointing people around to experience a "day in the life," and would love for you to stay here and maximize your time in New York!
Seth and Aaron
The East Village is a wonderful place for you to enjoy the city! We're so excited to tell you about the restaurants and bars, and where to go for your shopping, museum, and exploring New York needs! From Tompkins Square Park, to the Highline, to the bagel shops, to the cafes and restaurants, the life of a local is only a few steps away!
Subways are only 10 minutes away, and buses are just two minutes away. Tell us where you're going, and we'll tell you how to get there!
All of our rules (and there aren't many of them!) are in the house manual!
Please do remember when you come in: let the door close gently behind you when coming in.
Also, please don't worry about cleaning the apt; we'll take care of all of that.
Thanks again for staying here!
Seth and Aaron
After booking a last minute trip to NYC, Aaron was extremely accomodating. I had zero issues the entire weekend. The apartment was very clean, but also had a lot of character. It's in a great location in the East Village, with lots of bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk from it. I met Aaron briefly while there and he was a really nice guy. He turned his home over to me and let me feel like it was my own. I'd definitely stay again.
We stayed with Aaron for 5 days and had a great time. He's a very cool, relaxed and hospitable guy. The apartment is not huge, but it's NYC and there is more than enough room for you to relax. The neighbourhood is one of our favourites in NYC as it's easy to get anywhere and there's so much just outside the front door.
We really enjoyed the view of the downtown skyline from bed. The bedroom is large and has ample room for your belongings. Also, very good wifi.
The kitchen is very well appointed, and even though we received fantastic restaurant tips from Aaron, we did make a few things at home. And Aaron makes a fantastic cup of coffee if you're around at the same time - a real treat for us!
All in all, we were very happy, felt very welcome and would happily stay with Aaron again.
Aaron's apartment offers a real "new york-feeling" immediately as you step in. It was a bit smaller than what I expected from the pictures, but it was cosy, clean and close to everything I wanted to reach. You can literally walk to 5th avenue and right into downtown. Close by is a little green park which is beautiful when the sun is shining. The neighborhood is lively with a lot of bars and restaurants. The communication with Aaron was easy and fast, I booked a whole weekend just 2 days before I arrived. Unfortunately, we didn't meet because he worked both nights whilst I was asleep. Definitely worth the money and recommended! Thank you.
Great apartment! Key exchange was easy, and the apartment was comfortable and well-kept.
Looking forward to staying there again.
Nice spot, great neighborhood. Aaron's a cool guy, didn't see him much with our opposite working schedules. Recommended.
The neighborhood is fantastic. Being a over packer that 5 story walkup reminded me that maybe I didn't need 4 pairs of shoes but the place is small & nice. Aaron was very friendly and gave me a great rec for spicy noodles. He is a bartender and since I am an early riser we were basically on opposite schedules and hardly ever saw each other.
Or, Seth! We're both bartenders who've worked at some of New York's finest drinking and dining establishments. Hospitality is a major part of our work and who we are, so we want you to feel at home. We have a deep liquor cabinet that we're happy to share with our guests and an amazing kitchen that we'd love for you to use, maybe after an afternoon at the nearby farmer's market!
We usually work at night, and only one of us is in town at the same time, so you'll have the apartment to yourself most of the time.
The East Village is a safe and vibrant neighborhood, full of creatives and characters of all kinds. There is never a dull moment. Nightlife is our livelihood and one of our passions, so whether you're looking to go to one of the hundreds of bars, restaurants and clubs within walking distance of the apartment, or explore the rest of the City and Brooklyn, you will have a great guide.
After a good night out the neighborhood has many recovery options. Organic juice bars, free Yoga classes, a beautiful park and the best coffee and brunch places in town. There are also same day laundry services and plenty of new and vintage clothing stores, if you happened to misplace some of yours the previous night.
Given the pace of The City's nightlife and our work in it we treat our courtyard-facing, sunny apartment as a sanctuary of sorts. A quiet place to relax and escape. There are no shortage of places to party so the apartment is never one.
Your bedroom has an air conditioner, a closet, a full-sized bed (that's almost too comfy to get out of), and an industrial sewing machine for repairing any travel related clothing mishaps. Clean sheets and towels are provided and we will try to accommodate any other requests you may have.
Here's to meeting you soon,
