  • This was my first stay with air bnb and I love it. I have never stayed in such a clean place in NYC. The apartment has everything you need inlcluding a hair dryer and umbrella. Everything was really uncomplicated and nice. The area is awesome too, I would go back there anytime!

  • We had a great stay at Adam's place. The apartment is compact, but that is fairly standard for New York and it has most things you would need. We arrived in February and it was pretty cold out, but Adam's flat was warm and suited us well. Adam was always easily contactable and his building supe was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for us, as had a lot going on around it in terms of bars and restaurants. It also has easy access to metro lines to explore Manhattan and Brooklyn, just over the bridge.

  • Adam has been very supporting before and during our staying there. The apartment is clean, comfortable and very silent; ecxellent location if you have to move in south manhattan and williamsburg. Only one concern: the bathroom has only a shower and a wc.

  • Adam is really friendly and helpful. The place is simple, clean, cosy and excellent value for money. The hot water wasn't great but Adam was going to get it fixed and kindly gave me a discount on the last night.

  • We loved staying in this apartment. As other reviewers have noted, it's definitely all about the location. We especially loved the location since we used to live just a few blocks away and remembered why the East Village is the best neighborhood in Manhattan. The apartment is great because the building is behind the main building so it's quiet and a little isolated. We happened to travel during one of the coldest weekends on record so unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the courtyard although it seemed like a great place to sit and have a drink.

The apartment itself is a bit small but that is to be expected in NYC. The bedroom has a huge TV and plenty of cable channels. The kitchen is well stocked. The bathroom doesn't have a sink but it's hardly an issue given the close proximity to the kitchen. We really appreciated the plentiful towels as well as the complimentary bar of soap. The water pressure in the shower leaves a bit to be desired. The bed is pretty comfortable too although it's pushed up against a wall that was freezing during our stay. Again, it was an unusually cold weekend so I don't think that could have been prevented.

Communication with Adam was very easy if not a little slow over email. He was extremely communicative over the phone so if you have any issues during your stay I would recommend reaching out this way. Overall I thought this was a steal in terms of location and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

  • As a first time air bnb user coming from Australia I must say I was hesitant in booking this- but I instantly felt better as Adam kept in contact with me right up until we settled into our room! He is great guy who truly wants the best out of your stay. Staying in the East Village at Adams apartment was absolutely perfect! The location is fabulous- away from the craziness of Times Square but close enough to get there in as little as 15 minutes with the subway! It is surrounded by Lots of fun bars and restraurants- and literally 2 blocks from the subway! Also walking distance to Union square! Also a Very safe neighbourhood! Only 1 negative- because it's an older building (that's been nicely updated) it can get pretty noisy when people walk up & down the stairs- also if you happen to get noisy people above you- but it was definantly tolerable- we didn't mind it too much! We loved every minute of New York- so a huge thanks to Adam for making our stay perfect! :)

Hi, That's Charley looking out onto 12th Street. If you decide to take the apartment you will see him around a lot. I was born on this block and after raising my Family in the suburbs I returned about 15 years ago. I own this property which has a front and rear building separated by a courtyard. I live in the front and have some furnished studios in the rear building. There is a planted courtyard for all to enjoy and I am close by if there is anything you need. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you, Adam
