The Marais is unique in every respect: real Paris, great bars and restaurants, the " Marche des enfants rouges ", Bar Charlot ( breakfast and aperitive with Parisiens ), delis on Rue Bretagne ( cheeses, tartes, wine etc ), Musee Picasso and Centre Pompidou a footstep away, lots of art galleries and upcoming fashion designer boutqiues. Well, it's the Marais.
Several Metro stops close by as well as Paris velo around the corner. Biking in Paris is comfortable ( and much fun ).

I had a wonderful experience staying in this apartment! As a first time traveler to Paris, I did not have any issues using the metro or finding the location. The area was very historic and beautiful, and there was plenty to do just in the neighborhood. Traveling around Paris was very simple using the Metro or even walking (~10 minute walk to the Louvre and to Notre Dame).
Gabriele was very helpful with information about the area and she stayed in close contact leading up to my visit.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting, it is in a very quiet area of Paris and away from too many tourists. It is very easy to assimilate into the culture and area with all the friendly cafes and restaurants very close by.
Gabriele's place is simply beautiful. It is very comfortable and tastefully furnished and decorated.
The apartment is placed in a wonderful location in the Marais, with cafes, bars, various food and wine stores and the like just a 100 meters away. Despite the great location the apartment is still very quiet.
Gabrielle always responded very positively and promptly to our requests and queries. Due to an unforeseen circumstance we had to change our arrival time just the day before we were due to check in, and Gabrielle immediately made the necessary arrangements to have the apartment cleaned at an earlier time and made available to us earlier in the day than was previously arranged.
I highly recommend this as a great apartment to stay in if you wish to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and great pubs and restaurants in the Marais.
Before our trip even started, Gabriele was extremely helpful by providing all the information we'd need to have the best trip possible. Her apartment made our trip to Paris so much more memorable. We had a basic idea of what we wanted to see and do, but Gabriele provided an unbelievable amount of maps and tour guides that really helped us make the most of our trip. It was wonderful making use of the kitchen when we were too tired to go out after hours of sight-seeing. The living and dining area was perfect for relaxing in the mornings and evenings. The location in Le Marais meant the apartment was always extremely quiet. We wouldn't have preferred to experience Paris in any other way!
This appartment was great. Good central location, close to everything you need including metro stations, restaurants and supermarkets. With 84 steps to the apartment you don't want to go in and out to much in a day, but we knew this in advance, and it did not spoil our enjoyment of the location. Would happily stay there again!
I spent a long weekend in Paris with a friend and we loved Gabriele's apartment! It was perfect for everything it promised, really charming lovely loft apartment in a great location. She replied quickly and was very easy and accommodating to our arrival time. I would greatly reccommend staying here, thank you so much Gabriele!
My wife and I spent 5 days at this lovely apartment. Though we did not meet Gabriele, everything was very well arranged via email. We loved this place! The location is very hard to beat, surrounded by interesting things to do, see & eat in the Marais, but very still very quiet place to sleep. The apartment matched the description and photos- if anything it was larger than we expected. The kitchen is small but well equipped. The wifi internet worked perfectly. It is a fourth floor walk up, so the only people I would not recommend it to are the mobility-impaired.
The Marche des Enfants Rouges is literally across the street, and this is walking distance from great sight like the Picasso, Carnavalet, Arts & Metiers and Pompidou Center Museums. We found it very easy to access from CDG airport, as we took the RER to Les Halles and walked the rest of the way.
I highly recommend this apartment, we hope to come back!
