Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.

Mountain Views. Luxury. Catch up to the quiet you promised yourself. We deliberately curated furniture, stone, wood, and artifacts to bring an experience of beauty that is both modern and warm with heritage. The Shunem top story is completely separate and dedicated to retreat for our guests.

Note: The Bread House first story is separate, where Leyla makes organic sourdough and hosts workshops for our nonprofit, Sky Roots, and coffeehouse, Good Seed Coffee, in her boutique commercial kitchen.

The space
Shunem upper story and patio are dedicated as the guest’s retreat and has two bedrooms.

“Ranch Room” has a King-sized bed, full closet and a grand view of the Gaviota mountains.

“Cabin Room” has a Full-sized bed as well as a view of mountains and country with a full dresser.

Each room has a comfortable sitting chair.

Shunem living room has a couch, two recliners, and a wet bar with built-in refrigerator drawer and freezer drawer for light food/snacks as well as a coffee grinder, maker, and kettle. We stock a bag of our current coffee roasts as a gift for your visit from our coffeehouse, Good Seed Coffee.

Bread House is completely separate and can be enjoyed as a shared-use space, similar to a lobby/lounge/library. I actively bake and both prepare and teach workshops so I am in and out as I create.

Both stories can be rented exclusively on occasion for additional fee depending on guest use with special arrangements.

Guest access
You will arrive to our 5 acre ranch which is accessed with a Gate Code for entrance. Shunem Bread House is first property on left. Parking is onsite and is free directly in front of Shunem Bread House.

It is less than a mile walk into town of Santa Ynez and a beautiful brief drive to the other quaint towns in the Santa Ynez Valley, such as Los Olivos, Solvang, and Ballard.

Other things to note
The listing is for the Shunem upper story and is best suited for up to four adults.

There are stairs and an open railing on the upper patio so it is not suitable for children, as needs vigilant supervision.

Additionally, the space was designed for enrichment and restoration and we used rare materials, some of which are museum quality, to create a unique atmosphere so it is not as suitable for young children.
