Cozy, well decorated 3-bedroom Tudor-style rowhome in a well-established neighborhood in North Baltimore. Walking distance to great shops and restaurants in Belvedere Square, and 10-15 minutes drive from most major Baltimore attractions.
Hi, welcome to my 1930s tudor-style, 1800-square-foot rowhome in Baltimore.
It's a cozy place to rest your head when in town visiting family, visiting schools (I'm a very short drive to most of the major universities in town), or just coming to see some of the sights in Baltimore.
LOCATION: 15 minutes from all the major attractions, museums, aquarium, etc. of downtown and the Inner Harbor, 2 minutes from Towson, 5 minutes driving distance from light rail and I-83. 5-10 minutes from most major universities (Johns Hopkins, Towson, Loyola, Notre Dame, Goucher, and more), so great for parents wanting to check out colleges in Baltimore. And I'm just 45 minutes from Washington, DC.
NEIGHBORHOOD: The house is on a lovely tree-lined street (voted prettiest in Baltimore) in a good, well-established neighborhood. Belvedere Square is walking distance—a few blocks away—and boasts a wonderful summer music festival if you happen to be here on a Friday night in the summer months. It also has a number of restaurants, pubs, and shops as well as one of the top-rated art deco style movie theaters with first-run movies. The house is a 5- minute drive to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, 5 minutes to the closest mall.
HOME SET UP: There are 3 bedrooms with 1 queen-size bed and 2 full size beds (the newly finished, above ground basement is used as a bedroom as it has a full-size futon), 1 large, full bath upstairs + 1/4 bath in basement (it's a Baltimore thing with houses built in this era), eat-in kitchen and granite countertops, gas stove/oven, central A/C, radiator heat, hardwood floors, washer/dryer, sky lights, sunroom/meditation room off the master bedroom, wood-burning fireplace, and much more. Lots of old world charm with updated amenities. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Wi-fi and basic cable provided.
WHAT WILL BE WAITING FOR YOU WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
- Fresh linens and towels
- Clock radio
- House manual with everything you need to know about the house and hood.
- Shower and hand soaps
- Directions to and information about local area attractions
- Coffee and teas
PLEASE NOTE: The house has a lot of stairs and is not child proofed, so it's not a great space for families with small children. Also, as much as I love four-legged family members, I have a no pet policy (due to allergies)! : (
Thanks for stopping by!
Interaction with Guests
Si estan quedando en la casa, la interacion seria minimal. Tengo una caja con mi llave si no estoy en casa para dejarte entrar. Pero voy a estar a su disposición para cualquier pregunta or duda que pueda tener antes o durante su estancia.
This is a well established neighborhood in walking distance to shops and restaurants of Belvedere Square.
Belvedere Square has wonderful restaurants, pubs, a European style market, and an art-deco movie theater. In the summer months, each Friday night they block off the area for a concert in the Square. Food and beverage vendors are out and people set up picnic style dining and listen to various local bands perform. It's a lot of fun!
I'm 5 minutes drive from the light rail and there are bus stops a block or two from the house. Most guests use a car, however, to get around. There is plenty of street parking.
Other Things to Note
Street parking is readily available directly in front of the house.
No smoking or pets, please.
Please remove sheets from beds, and please make sure (if you stay for a week or longer) that you take trash out back.
Please note, this is not a good property for small children (it's not child proofed).
Refundable full month security deposit required only for rentals over one month.
It's really a great, comfortable house! It's my primary residence, so I ask that guests treat the house with respect, leaving it as you found it. I've put a lot of care and love into it and I hope you enjoy staying here! :)
We had a wonderful stay at Beth's house! She was excellent in communicating before and during our stay. The house was lovely - lots of character - and being in walking distance of Belvedere Square was great. Beth was prompt in fixing a minor problem with some ants - her quick response kept it from being an issue. I would highly recommend a stay here!
Beth was at her lovely home to greet us when we arrived in Baltimore. We visited with our two kids (5 and 2.5yrs old). She welcomed us and gave us a great tour of the house. Beth's house is perfect, charming, spacious, fitted with everything you need from wifi to a laundry/dryer. Beth was readily available for answer all our questions over text message and email and always got back to us within a minute of us reaching out to her. We will for sure reach out again to her next time we are in Baltimore!
My daughters and I stayed in Beth's home when we travelled to Baltimore for a family event. Her house is very inviting and full of charactor. The location is fantastic. Close to everything we needed, but tucked away in a nice neighborhood. We had so much fun just being able to get together again as a family in this great home. Thank you Beth for making our stay one to remember.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It's a truly lovely home, on a tree-lined street in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. We particularly liked hearing the sound of cicadas, which we don't get in Oregon. Central AC kept us comfortable in the dog days of August. And as people who like to cook, we appreciated the gas stove. Beth's house handbook was very helpful, and she got back to us quickly to help us resolve an issue with WiFi. It was also nice to be within walking distance of nearby Belvedere Square Market, which has a great coffee bar and several gourmet delis — we particularly recommend Neopol and the ShooFly restaurant.
This house is truly charming and in a great 'hood'! The street is tree lined, quiet and safe. We were able to park right in front of the house every day which is a plus. The house has character - the furnishings are comfortable and attractive. The living room opens onto the dining room which opens onto the kitchen making the space very light and airy and conducive to conversation.
Beth provides everything you might need and has prepared a binder with information about the house, where to find things, dos and don'ts ( very reasonable!) and the neighborhood. She checked in with us regularly via email to make sure all was well and left very detailed instructions on how to find the house.
The Belvedere Market is only 3 or 4 very walkable blocks away and has many options for food and drink, both to eat in or take home or enjoy on a patio. There are also a couple of shops, restaurants and a movie theatre in the vicinity.
We did not use them, but we noticed several bus lines very near by. If you drive, it is pretty easy to get around Baltimore from Beth's house. The conference we were attending was at Towson University and that was just a straight shot 2 miles up the road from Beth.
The bedrooms were spacious and we had closet and drawer space for our stuff and the beds were comfortable!
The only caveat I would have is for those with mobility issues. There is no bathroom on the main floor. The main bathroom (along with the 2 bedrooms) is upstairs and there is a toilet downstairs for that sleeping area. But if you are in good shape this is a great place.
My family and I has a very enjoyable 3 night stay (website hidden) house was very clean and we felt comfortable and right at home. Although the host, Beth, was out of town she emailed me with instructions on how to get in and what to expect before we came along with her phone number if we needed to contact her. She also emailed while we were there to make sure everything was OK which we appreciated. She also put up pieces of paper explaining some parts of the place and had a large book with maps, restaurants, transportation etc which was very helpful for us. We had no problems with the home and everything worked fine. The neighbourhood was very quiet and we could walk to pick up food and supplies. The light rail station was 5 minutes away by car and was convenient to go downtown although it doesn't run very late to this area so check the schedule before you use it. We would stay here again.
Beth was super friendly, prompt, answered all of our questions--we would highly recommend staying here! The neighborhood is safe, close to dining and shopping, and a great way to showcase Baltimore! The house was clean and comfortable and had everything my family needed!

HI! Thanks for checking out my home! My work background is in marketing communications, but I left the 9-5 world last year to pursue a passion--working with indigenous cultures and endangered big cats. I love yoga, traveling and photography.
I wear a few hats at the moment, working as a U.S. representative for a South African-based non-profit white lion conservation organization, and I also work as a part-time program manager for a non-profit that works helping conserve indigenous cultures around the world. And I do some freelance work, too. It keeps me busy and out of trouble, and also on the road quite a bit! :)
Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have about the house, the neighborhood, or the area in general! And I hope you enjoy your time in B-more not matter where you stay!
