Raven’s Nest is a back to basics rustic tiny cabin. Tucked away in the trees where sunlight dapples the forest floor. The cabin is close to the main residence should you need assistance with anything, but completely private with a private gated entrance and free parking a short walk to the cabin. The cabin is heated by a small wood stove, has a small kitchen area and a loft with a queen bed and on the main level a double futon if need. Please note the bathroom is an outhouse a short walk away.

The space
Please read full listing, before booking, so you know what to expect. Thank you.

Rustic Chic. The cabin is a 200sq foot space on the main level with a cozy loft space for sleeping. The loft has a queen size bed, access to the loft is by a secured ladder. The space is heated by a wood stove, for spring and fall use. Fire wood for the wood stove is provided for each night of stay. If you need more than what is provided more can be purchased on site. The main level has a futon couch if need be. The space is best for 2 people but can sleep 4. The cabin is not recommended for children. Please contact me to discuss further.

There is no running water. The bathroom is an outhouse. There is a camping shower provided should you request it. It will be filled upon your arrival, then refilled every second day if staying more than 2 nights. The Community Centre in Bragg Creek has public showers for a cost of $5.

The cabin is off grid, however, there may be electricity from a solar panel that charges a battery, as long as there is enough sun to keep it charging. It is good enough to charge phones or to use the movie projector. Please note, there is no guarantee that the battery will be charged.

Bedding is provided. Temperatures fluctuate in the foothills so make sure to pack according to the forecast. If it has been particularly rainy in the area bring rubber boots.

There is a small kitchenette that will have plates, cups, utensils, kettle, coffee press, dish bin for washing dishes and basic cooking needs like salt, pepper, sugar, cooking oil and drinking water. There is a cook/wash station outside of the cabin with a Coleman stove for cooking.

Please note that there isn’t cell service or wifi
available at the cabin. If you want to watch movies they will need to be downloaded by you before arrival. Adapter to iPhone provided.

You will need to bring a cooler for your food(which must be kept inside), fire wood for the fire pit (bundles can be purchased on site, or in Bragg Creek) and we recommend bear spray.
