  • Brian was a great host. He was very accommodating to my tight schedule and made sure I had everything I needed for a great stay. Excellent communication- he even offered to mail me something I left behind. And his place is very clean & super rad.

  • We love Brian's loft, and keep booking it each time we come to Chicago. Large amount of space, and beautiful windows and lighting. Easy access to most things. Brian is a great host, and is super easy to plan with for arrival / and checkout. Thanks again Brian!

  • Brian's loft was highly recommended to us by another user. It did not disappoint. The decor and location were both excellent as advertised. Had a great time exploring the immediate surroundings in Wicker park and easily made our way into other parts of the city via the blue line train right around the corner. The space was clean and furnished with everything you may need. Brian was very accommodating and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. I will be staying here again in the near future. Thanks!

  • Excellent AirBnB experience. Brian was greatly accommodating of our needs regarding arrival and departure times. The loft itself is full of objets d'art and an impressive collection of books and magazines that make it fun to spend time there between jaunts into the city. It is an easy walk to either of two stops on the L's blue line, one of which is located at the heart of the Wicker Park neighborhood. All the amenities you might require are close-at-hand in this area. The walls are thin partitions, and noise does travel between units - but if this doesn't bother you, it doesn't seem to bother the neighbors much either. Brian has a nice stereo set-up, which we took full advantage of. Overall, a great trip to a fun neighborhood was only made better by staying at this loft. Thanks Brian!

  • Brian's place is EXACTLY what every AirBNB place should be like.

    PLACE / ACCOMMODATIONS:
His place is really cool - very unique art loft style and it is really spacious with cool furniture around. It was a really fun place to see as we saw Chicago for the first time. There is only 1 bed, but he has a really comfy air mattress and our friends slept just fine. Accommodates 4 easily.

    LOCATION:
Definitely not within walking distance of the city, but it was easy to catch cabs from the street. I think it was only 5 bucks for a ride into the city - really easy. It's right next to a bus line and an easy walk to the metro. Also, it's only 1 stop from the busy Wicker Park street with shopping / food, which we really enjoyed. If you are coming from the airport, don't bother taking a taxi - the train is much faster and if you don't have many bags you can walk to his spot easily.

    HOST:
Brian is rad - Great host and we felt totally comfortable in his place. We had one minor issue with the air mattress and he took care of it within an hour. I wish all hosts were that accommodating and responsive. His photos are great too.

We would absolutely stay here again and definitely recommend it. This was an awesome and affordable way to stay and see Chicago.

  • Could not have asked for a better host or place! Brian's apartment is pretty perfect - open, huge, and great location. Wouldn't have changed a thing.

  • UPSIDE: Brian is a great host! Het met us there upon our arrival and showed us around the place. AND was extremely responsive and accommodating. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with a host.
The place is also very clean and looks just like the photos (as described). I was there to do a series of photo shoots and his place worked perfectly.

DOWNSIDE: The only downside which was a major one for me - was that the walls are REALLY thin. You can hear everything the neighbors are doing and to put it mildly, the upstairs neighbors were having 'get togethers' on the weekend (as another reviewer put it 'Kink Parties') and it was really loud and the noises were quite startling and went on throughout the night. Even earplugs wouldn't drown out the sounds. I stayed there on a Friday night and ended up leaving and booking a hotel for the Saturday night. I am just thankful that I wasn't traveling with my son. I wouldn't recommend staying on a weekend night, as apparently, that is when they have their kink parties.

All in all, great place but not on the weekend!
