Diane is a super nice person and very easy to live with. She's obviously very knowledgeable about the area and is more than happy to share information and tips to help you get the most from your stay.
The room itself feels nice and private and is quite cosy. The bathroom is shared, but I never felt uncomfortable or as if I was intruding. All in all, this was a very nice place to stay.
Diane is an amazing person and truly the most gracious host. I felt welcomed into her beautiful home and she treated me with respect and kindness throughout my stay. It's clear she puts her heart into the art of hospitality. She's a great communicator and very knowledgeable about Victoria. Her home is an oasis and the room itself is self-contained and private, clean and homely. I'm happy to have met Diane and would recommend her to anyone looking for a good base out of which to explore Victoria.
Thanks to Diane and her house made our first ever three weeks in Victoria (and in Canada) a great experience.
Diane has a very welcoming, clean and spacious house at Victoria West, fifteen minute bus ride to Downtown Victoria on the ever-frequent route 14. Having your own, large bedroom separated by a quaint little sliding door ensures your privacy while giving you access to the exotic and spiritual common area. Cute little "try me" labels direct you to the natural, organic goodies, around the bedroom, the common area, bathroom and fridge.
During our three week stay there, we enjoyed freshly baked quiches from the nearby bakery, and a convenience store made sure that we had everything we needed without needing to go to downtown. The house is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with other small houses with gardens and lawns. A fifteen minute walk (or a few minutes on the ever-frequent bus 14) gets you to the community center and a small park nearby the Bay.
I highly recommend staying at Diane's.
Diane is a wonderful lady, very helpful and kind and thoughtful.
My friend Leena and I like her house so much , vey unique with her characteristic, and her garden with organic vegetable/fruits......she is a busy working lady but always tried her very best to help us out eg to get bus tickets to a Vancouver , gave us a lift to town ...
She is the person with inner shine , I like all those inspiring words/sentences that she put on some places o the house....and she is very health conscious , she provide organic or environmental friendly with her loving kindness to her guest....We really hv a good time staying there unfortunately too short trip and we need to travel to other places...Thanks Diane fr hosting us....Rgds,WahChin
Diane recently hosted my parents-in-law during their recent trip from Germany. They had a wonderful time with Diane, with only glowing reviews about their stay. Everything was absolutely perfect. Thanks Diane for taking care of them for me!
The room is delightful, and Diane is very helpful. I felt strange sharing a bathroom. I found the stairs leading to the house daunting. I was carrying the suitcases and had to maneuver the 5 concrete steps and then through the door. Not good for seniors. Could use grab-bars in the tub since it is a narrow tub, but other than that the bathroom is good. Lots of towels, but bring your own soap.
Diane's home was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting VIctoria. It was close enough to downtown that we could ride our bikes and it was so easy and such a pleasant ride through the park. Another day we took the bus and that was easy too. Diane was a wonderful host and we both really enjoyed getting to know her.
The diane's house is a very quiet and zen place. The prefect place to recover after a long day visiting Victoria. there's a lot of space in the room : very important when you need to reorganize your bag ! Diane gives you good tips to discouver the town and Vancouver Island. by buses (at the corner of the bloc), walking (20min) or by car (5min), it's really easy to reach downtown as we try the 3 options.
We appreciated everything about our stay at this location. It was a magical little oasis of tranquility, and maybe 8 min. to downtown by car. We used the kitchen quite a bit, and Diane had us set up with toiletries and also coffee or tea in our room.We felt like we were staying with a friend.
Our stay at Diane's was relaxing and enjoyable. She helped us to feel welcome and invited us to use other parts of her home, including her backyard. Her recommendations of places to eat and see were spot on and much appreciated! I would stay at Diane's again if in the area.
