Welcome to our Airbnb. Beautifully renovated two bedroom apartment in award winning building with spectacular views of Mt Shasta from the kitchen and primary bedroom.

Our goal is to provide you with the kind of lodging we look for when we travel; clean, comfortable, centrally located and reasonably priced.

** We are still concerned about the Covid-19 virus and are continuing deep cleaning and sanitizing protocols for your safety.

The space
Originally built in the 1920s, this building was meticulously restored in 2000 and received the Mount Shasta Beautification Award.

Located a few steps above a dramatic courtyard entry, this home offers modern amenities with historical charm. Original hardware and hardwood floors complement the classic architecture. Comfortable furnishings, oriental carpets, and a wood burning fireplace add a homey touch. There is a flat screen TV with a Chromecast wifi connection to stream your favorites from your computer, tablet or cell phone.

No lag time with 100mbps internet.

The kitchen has a four burner stove with oven, a microwave, convection toaster oven, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, waffle maker (great for paninis), electric wok, rice cooker, electric grill, slow cooker, blender, and apartment size refrigerator. It comes with plenty of pots and pans, plates, glasses and utensils. We provide enough coffee and tea to get you started.

Have your morning coffee on the private terrace in the skylit lobby surrounded by tropical plants. The main bathroom has a shower and pedestal sink and is private. There is a second half bath in the lobby which is shared with other occupants in the building. One bedroom features a queen bed with great views of Mt Shasta and the other bedroom has a double bed and a single daybed.

Along with the fireplace there is an energy efficient 3 zone Heat/AC system with separate controls for bedrooms and living space.

Where you’ll be

Mount Shasta, California, United States

Mt Shasta City is an enchanting community on the southwest slope of the 14,179 foot Mount Shasta. There is always plenty to do here. Depending on the season, there is rafting, kayaking, swimming, and flat water paddling. World class trout streams are just a few minutes away.

There is hiking and mountain biking on hundreds of miles of trails and old logging roads. You can also climb Mt Shasta if you are feeling adventurous.

Winter offers downhill, cross country, and world class backcountry skiing. You can go snowshoeing or sledding. There is a public ice rink in town and sometimes in winter you can ice skate on a frozen high alpine lake.

Mount Shasta is a world renowned spiritual and power center. It is a great artist or writer's retreat.

The town has a variety of retail shops, coffee houses, bakeries, restaurants, bars, full service grocery stores and a great natural food store. The residence is just steps away from two of Mt Shasta's favorite restaurants and a locally owned grocery store. Inside is an excellent deli with homemade sandwiches to order and fresh barbecue on the weekends.

Mt Shasta has some of the best water in the world. Pure, untreated, natural spring water comes out of the tap so don't waste your money on bottled water; it is a much inferior libation.
