Charlie's place is beautiful and he was a wonderful and thoughtful host. The room is divided from the rest of the loft by a curtain, but tucked away, and I never felt that I lacked for privacy. The place is also located right by two train lines, so it was easy to get around, especially with Charlie's help getting oriented.
Great stay. Charlie's place is a neat mix of modern / laid back, and he's friendly and holds an excellent conversation. Location is solid, too. Right off Orange line, easy access to cabs and downtown / the loop. Recommend staying with him for sure.
Came to Chicago to run the marathon, and needed a place close to the start/finish. Charlie, was awesome from the initial correspondence to the day I left. He has a great place, in a super trendy location. He is very accommodating without being too pushy. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Chicago for a few days.
Charlie made my first airbnb experience a very happy one. His welcoming and generous hospitality made me quite comfortable, and the artsy character of the loft was a fine complement to my idea of tourism. If I return to Chicago, I hope to stay with him again.
Stay with Charlie was really nice. He's a nice host, gentle and friendly. He provided us with all the necessary information about the city and interesting things to see and do.
Charlie is a very welcoming host and super nice guy. I am very grateful for his help and advice through the city. His flat is very open and it was a pleasure to meet some of his neighbors and friends. Definitely recommended for a visit to Chicago.
I reiterate what others have said about Charlie and his place. Also he is very close to Roosevelt Street station - so on the train line from Midway, or with just one change from O'Hare.
charlie is a very accommodating and welcoming host. he's easy-going and generously shares his art-filled loft with travellers. the balcony offers a great vantage point for sunsets and people watching. charlie is knowledgeable about the neighbourhood and chicago area which was really helpful!
Staying at Charlie's place was absolutely fantastic. It's incredible welcoming, fun, artistic, and inspiring. Charlie himself is very friendly, laid-back, and was an excellent host. I'll be staying with Charlie the next time I come to visit Chicago.
Great host, awesome guy and great location - Bravo Charlie - look forward to my next stay!
