Do you like tea, like I like tea? Japanese green tea, Chinese green tea, oolong, white, black, herbal… What’s better than tea? Well, yes of course there’s coffee. And we have coffee, don’t worry! But we have a lot of tea. I’m talking about 10 different types of loose leaf tea and 10 more custom loose leaf herbal tea blends. And more tea pots and tea cups than you’ll know what to do with.

Recently redesigned and filled with art by local artist and designer Eric Zawadski (that's me actually).

The space
Stay tuned, a listing description full of beautiful prose is and imagery will be ready soon. For now we'll let the photos do the talking.

Photos taken with a Fujifilm X-E5 📷

Sleeping: 1 king bed and a Dream Sofa (that we designed) made of two twin mattresses.

Guest access
Parking is available behind the building for 1 vehicle. Remaining vehicles can be parked for free in the street.

There are two entrances to the loft. Both can be found in the rear of the building. The white staircase closest to the parking lot will take you all the way to the 3rd floor and into the loft. The staircase just behind it will bring you to a 2nd floor landing (shared by Apt 2). You'll want to use the door to the left, marked Apt 3. This will bring you inside to a set of original (slightly steep) stairs that lead you right up to the loft as well!

Exploring the neighborhood couldn't be easier. You can quickly walk to a number of local Old North End sites and restaurants or walk to downtown Church St Marketplace in less than 20 mins. All via sidewalks.

Burlington is incredibly bicycle friendly with many miles of bike lanes and paths. You can access restaurants, beaches, grocery stores, shopping, and this apartment all by bike. If you didn't bring your bike you can rent one at a number of spots all around the city.

If biking isn't your thing, you can drive, take the bus, or call an Uber!

Other things to note
The apt is located in a triplex with an airbnb on the 2nd floor and wonderful long term tenants on the 1st floor. Please be respectful of their space and quiet hours (10pm - 7am).

The apt is located on the 3rd floor and can only be accessed by stairways.

The apartment is professionally cleaned with green products. We have also included natural cleaning products, and natural shampoo + conditioner + soap for your use.

Vermont does not allow food scraps in the garbage. Please use the food scrap bucket beneath the sink (or sometimes found outside the door).

Trash can be thrown away in the dumpster in the back parking area next door.

Recycling can be brought to the back deck and then to the large bin under the stairs.

**For longer stays both food scrap and recycling bins must be brought to the curb early Tuesday morning for pickup.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything or have any questions.

**Winter Note:

Adjusting the heat is a little tricky, but not impossible! There is a small door on the left side of the heater, facing the dream sofa. When you open that door you'll see a small red dial with numbers 1- 10 (10 being the hottest). Adjust the dial based on your needs. A space heater is also provided and can be found in the bedroom closet.

The long term tenants in Apt 1 are like our on site hosts. They will be taking care of snow and ice removal on the front and back stairs. The driveway will be plowed. Sometimes, when there is a lot of snow, there will be parking bans that don't allow street parking. You'll see illuminated signs on some of the telephone poles that say "parking ban". In these situations, all vehicles need to be off the street and in the driveway.

Neighborhood highlights

The Old North End (ONE) is an ethnically diverse, mostly residential area with a cluster of restaurants around North Street, from hip New American spots to Vietnamese restaurants and cozy cafes. Hilltop Battery Park offers sweeping views over Lake Champlain, plus a playground, summer concerts, and food trucks. Bordered by the University of Vermont campus, the neighborhood also has several recreation and community centers. It is the most walkable neighborhood in a Burlington and a biker’s paradise.

My work: Artist
Most useless skill: Clapping with one hand
I live in Burlington with my partner, our 5 year old son, and our brand new baby boy! They're legends! We enjoy cycling, stand up paddling, lounging at the beach, lounging on the couch... You get it. We like to have fun and we like to relax. We really appreciate good food and good drinks. Champagne with pizza? Yes. But enough about "us". What about me? I really like design. I like interior design, landscape design, well designed clothes, architecture, well designed paddle boards. I like when people design their lives really well. (4 Hour Workweek anyone?) I like a well designed kettlebell too. I spend most days with my family. Paddling on the lake, cooking good meals, trying to drink enough water (failing, always failing), dinner parties with friends, workouts, coffee and jazz in the morning, etc etc. Just your typical guy trying to make the most out of life. I hope you really enjoy the space I've created for you.
