Because the cabin is located on a working vineyard, access is limited to cabin, deck and wooded area immediately behind cabin. Please refrain from walking in the vineyard and winery.
Please note: this is a working vineyard and winery and some noise related to farming activities can take place especially in the busy months (July - October).
My husband and I just spent a wonderful, romantic weekend at this great little cabin. Carla was very prompt and helpful in all her communications and we had the pleasure to meet her on our first morning there. The view from the cabin is simply gorgeous. The environment is quiet and serene. The little cabin is cozy, rustic, beautiful and comfortable. The location is ideal for visiting the many wineries in the area. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We'll definitely be back!
This little cabin is a gem, and Carla and George make it even more so with their friendly and attentive reception and communication. I appreciated the cabin's cleanliness, beautiful wood construction, well-appointed kitchen, stylish yet tasteful décor, magnificent view of the hills from the living room and loft-style elevated bedroom, and its close proximity to some of the best wineries in the valley. Carla welcomed me with bagels for breakfast and a gorgeous 2011 Dundee Hills pinot for relaxing in the evening. When running a little late at checkout time, Carla was gracious and flexible about allowing me a little extra time to tidy up and be on my way. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone, a couple or an individual looking for the perfect place to relax and unwind.
This cabin was just perfect and so picturesque. The perfect place to just relax and unwind, the area was very quite which was so nice. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. And of course the views were beautiful!
My stay at Carla's cabin was amazing. It's exactly like it is in the pictures - beautiful, rustic, clean and designed well. It's a great place to escape the city life and relax. While I never met Carla, she left a little hand written note and a bottle of wine from their vineyard and was extremely accommodating and attentive. I highly recommend her Cabin and hope I get to return soon!
If you're any kind of whimsical person, don't hesitate--stay here! If you're any kind of wine drinker, don't hesitate--stay here! If you're in the mood for a great getaway, stay here! My husband and I loved our stay at Beacon Hill and were delighted at how cozy the place was, and warm even in winter (we gave the woodstove a good workout!) Carla and George were amazing hosts and the setting is even more awesome than in the photos. The quaint little towns of Yamhill, Carlton, and even McMinville are right close and a lovely drive away. We spent a lot of time thinking and musing and playing Scrabble while sipping wine and munching snacks. Thank you for a great vacation, Beacon Hill!
PS Bring slippers or slip-on shoes for going out to the bathroom.
The Beacon Hill cabin is charming! So many lovely details & really thoughtfully, beautifully designed. We adored the home & the views, & appreciated the quietness & seclusion, & the delicious wine that waited for us in the cabin when we arrived! Carla was such a kind & helpful host as well!
We really adored the cabin! It was perfectly located with attention to detail. Our hosts made sure our accomodation was perfect for our arrival, with the added extras of bagels and wine which was so appreciated and a generous gesture!
We were lucky enough to attend a wine tasting at the venue, which made our stay most memorable.
We would highly recommend this cabin to anybody seeking retreat, tranquillity and that 'at home feel'.
A very beautiful and perfect stay.
