  • The Beacon Hill cabin is simply amazing. The views are fantastic, the wood burning stove is wonderful, and the complimentary bottles of wine were just delicious. I will be back to this listing in the future, and I cannot wait!

  • This place was incredible! Can't say enough great things about it. I will definitely be back! Wine country was so wonderful, beautiful vineyard views. The wine the vineyard produces is also great. Loved it!

  • Every aspect of this cabin was amazing and our hosts went out of their way to ensure we had a perfect experience. I echo many of the great things already said in the other reviews. A few things that we noticed were in addition to what everyone else has raved about - 1) it is fantastic in the winter time. we think wine country is best experienced in winter, with many wineries are open year round but there are no lines or crowds, plus tasting is an indoor sport. 2) it has a great location close to so many quaint towns which all have much to offer on the culinary front 3) surprisingly fast internet in the cabin is such a help to scout out information for planning out your day. since it is so remote you would expect slow internet which would be irritating but their internet they provide is free and fast!

overall, we really liked how cozy it was and the fireplace provided us with heat and ambiance. It's luxurious for any standards, let alone cabins. very relaxing and private location.

  • George and Carla were great hosts; they left great food and wine recommendations and were available by phone and text when we had questions. Even better, this little cabin was a perfect getaway. It's quaint, quiet, and surrounded by beauty. There are so many vineyards nearby, it would be impossible to visit them all in a weekend. We highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for solitude, a home base for wine tasting, or couples looking for a romantic getaway. Thanks George and Carla!

  • The Beacon Hill Cabin is amazing, as is the landscape it occupies. Carla and her husband George were extremely hospitable, and even brought us some bagels and wine! The setting is unreal - with the bedroom on the second floor, you see forest to one side of you, hills and vineyards to the other. Plenty of options for lounging outdoors, or snuggling up inside. You can cook a meal, or are near amazing dining options. We were there for 2 nights at the end of September. The weather was gorgeous. If you're staying in Oregon Wine country, this is hard to beat. It's a perfect compromise between camping and hotel lodging. I can't wait to return.

  • I don't even know where to start! Seriously, one of the best experiences I have ever had. Carla was beyond accommodating, so sweet and welcoming, as well as very professional. I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with a get away weekend and it was just magnificent. The pictures do not do it justice! Stunning property, the cabin itself is very cute and romantic, has everything you need. The view is out of this world, the mornings are just wonderful. We grilled everyday and had candle light dinners, drank lots of delicious wine courtesy of Carla :) Went into town one day for some wine tasting and shopped around for a while. So relaxing, exactly what we needed. It was a little higher then what I was wanting to pay, but totally worth it...I would have paid more. STAY HERE! I cannot say enough good things...deserves so much more then five stars!!!

Carla, once again thank you so so much! We will be back for many years to come, this is like our little couples retreat :) I have already been telling all of my friends and family about it!

  • The cabin was absolutely spectacular. It was located in a beautiful, tranquil, and unique part of Oregon. The perfect place for a true escape. The property is beyond gorgeous with grape vines all around. The cabin was set up so efficiently and creatively it blew away any expectations. It was clean, comfortable, and very enjoyable. Carla was a wonderful hostess leaving a few bottles of the vineyards delicious wine and bagels for the next morning. I would not hesitate in booking this magnificent retreat it's one you surely will enjoy.

  • We love love love this place! The cabin is adorable and was very clean. Waking up to the view of the vineyard was one of my favorite experiences ever - those wrap-around windows upstairs make mornings amazing.

We went back and forth from Portland twice and also drove to Hood River for a day, but if we come back, we would be totally happy to just spend a few days doing nothing but hanging out at the cabin reading a book. Highly recommend the restaurant Paulee if you are looking for a nice meal nearby - very chic and awesome menu and wine list.

On a separate note, our baggage didn't arrive, so we were also very grateful for the hotel toiletry supplies in the bathroom!

We hope to be back soon. Thank you to Carla and George for sharing this wonderful place with the world via Airbnb.
