  • Staying at Debbie's was exactly what I needed. She lives on a quiet street, the room is a very nice size and Debbie was a very kind host. And there is an orange tree in the back yard!

I rented a bike and found it easy to bike around Port Melbourne and into the city.

  • A humble abode -- a quiet, safe sort of area, 15-20 min walking distance to Bay Street, and right next to the Shambhala Center on Salmon Street where we needed to be. If you're looking for cheap and cheerful, this should do the trick for you!

  • We had a very pleasant stay in Debbie's Hidden Gem. She's a very kind and welcoming host, we really enjoyed to be her guests !
Her house is situated in Port Melbourne, close to the sea, and about 20min by tram or by bus to the city center, so good situation !

  • Debbie is a wonderful hostess and will make you feel very comfortable within her home. We enjoyed chatting with her during our stay. We especially enjoyed using her juicer and blender along with full access to the kitchen! The bedroom is as pictured and a good size, the bathroom is downstairs from the bedroom. From Debbie's place you can walk to public transportation which takes you into the city, and also to Bay Street which is the main street in Port Melbourne with lots of restaurants and a grocery store. You can also walk down to the water and there is a path for walking or running. Debbie was helpful with giving us tips on things to do in the area and lots of maps & brochures. Thanks Debbie for letting us stay!

  • We enjoyed our stay with Debbie. She was a helpful host and kindly picked us up from the central bus station when we arrived. She was relaxed, which helped us feel comfortable in her home. We liked Port Melbourne too. Although a little out of town, it was easy to get to places using the tram or the hire bikes along the sea front and we appreciated leaving the busy city at the end of the day for a stroll along the water.

  • We had a nice stay at Debbie's place in Melbourne. She is kind, light-hearted, easy to get along with, and had some good suggestions for things to do during our stay. It was also very thoughtful of her to leave out some toys and a collection of Dr. Seuss books for our four year old, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The place is situated close to a nice playground - great for the kids. Though it's a bit further from the CBD, it's only a short walk to either the tram or bus line.

  • Hey my boyfriend and me stayed in debbies bed and breakfast 7 days. It was awesome.
The house is nice and clean and the garden is cute!
The room is big so you have a lot of space for your staff. The kitchen has all things you need! Included juice bar!!
You can use all things in the house and Debbie is really friendly.
For example we fergot some bags in Coles and recognised it when we were back at the house! Debbie drove us back to get them.
She is a really nice person and when we had questions we could ask everything.

The house is close to the tramstation so it is easy to go in the City. Also port Melbourne is very close. It is just a 10 min walk to the beach!!
I really enjoyed the days. I nearlly felt like beeing at home!!
If i will go back to Melbourne i would stay there again!!

  • Debbie was a great host, extremely welcoming and helpful whenever needed. Her place in Port Melbourne is ideally located for anyone wanting to explore the area or simply relax by the sea. I'd recommend this location to anyone wanting a friendly home to stay in.

  • Deb advertises her home as A Hidden Gem and I couldn't agree more.

The house is spacious, modern and supplied everything I needed during my week stay. Port Melbourne is a friendly suburb with lots to do. The closest tram stop is a pleasant few minutes walk from the house and will take you into the heart of Melbourne's CBD.

Deb always made me feel welcome in her home. She is a kind, polite and generous Woman. Past the everyday chit chat, Deb has some incredible stories of her travels around the world and it was great to trade my own with her.

No matter what your reason is for seeking accommodation in Melbourne, I couldn't recommend Deb and her lovely home enough!

    Thanks Deb! :-)

  • We loved witzh Debbie 1 1/2 weeks and we had some good days. Public transport is very close and the bus connection to the CBD is also very good. Shopping oportunities are not far away, you can walk there! All in all, we had some good days ;)
