Alice is very thoughtful and personable, and her place is in a great part of town. I definitely recommend her to others looking to stay in the Bay Area.

The private room at Alice's was a good place to crash for a night or two with a very clean bathroom. Although the bed could have been upgraded to something softer, Alice has plenty of blankets to soften the bed for a night or two. Parking is doable and Alice will work with you t…

Response from Alice:
Alex was a friendly guest and for the most part respected the house rules. However, parking was a bit of a challenge. He frequently parked in my driveway which made it difficult for me to leave when I needed to and we had to coordinate moving cars. All my previous guests had no problem finding street parking and it wasn't challenging when my previous guests parked in the driveway. None of my guests asked to park in my own garage which I don't allow guests to do, but Alex requested to park in my garage space. Street parking is free and during busy times can be difficult to find, but my guests and I have always found parking and at most had to park a block or 2 away. I'm always happy to help my guests find street parking and to accommodate them, but I don't allow guests to park in my own garage space.

I have confirmed that the room is indeed blue. If you are looking for a place away from the touristy area and want to feel more like a local, but close enough for a 30 min tram ride to all all your major sight seeing landmarks then this is your place. Alice was helpful with recom…
