Hi, I'm Joy- I'm originally from New Orleans but also consider Houston home. I've lived in Houston on an off for about 8 years. The time I spent away was [mostly] in New York & Connecticut. While in Houston we've lived in the Heights, Sugarland, Westchase, and Katy. Very few places in Houston offer the rich history and proximity to everything you could want: Museums, Parks (Hermann & MacGregor), Reliant Stadium, Downtown, restaurants, bike/running trails, and a sense of community. I'm a project accountant for an R&D division of a major hospital. My husband works in Finance and is usually pretty busy. In addition to keeping my husband's life somewhat stable, I have two young boys that I try to corral. When we're not working, we like to run to Hermann Park, eat, travel and spend time with the boys. Like a true New Orleanian, I'm excited to host you and share one of the real gems of Houston. I'll be more than happy to share with you some of our go-to's for drinks, running paths, and restaurants.
