Beautiful, welcoming, I couldn't speak highly enough about Korali Garden. Family run and quiet, it was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I to stay (we're the quieter types, and don't like clubs). Beautiful room, wonderful service, really nice people. Gorgeous view. Just a little walk from the centre of Chora, which was perfect.
This is a good place to stay in Naxos if you're on a budget, and the hosts are really friendly.
George met us at the port after waiting for our late ferry, then went out of his way to show us points of interest on the way to the accommodation. He gave us a map and highlighted where we could go in the town - we went to a few of the restaurants he mentioned and they were great.
The place itself: It's clear enough from the listing, but this is a small hotel with 10+ rooms. If you're used to other places on Airbnb that are little flats or houses, you'll need to alter your expectations. Your room won't necessarily be one shown in the photos: we were originally given one with two single beds, so had to ask for a double instead.
As it's a hotel, you get some of the benefits you'd associate with that: there's always someone on the front desk, it's easy to find on a map, the room had a safe, there's a pool, etc. But there are also some things where it falls short: the balcony door didn't lock properly, there was a small puddle of water in the bathroom the whole time we were there, the shower head attachment was broken and no kitchen cleaning supplies were provided (the cleaners just left our dirty dishes in the sink). It doesn't have the character of most places you find on Airbnb, but doesn't have the full services of a hotel either.
But it was fantastic value, the location is really convenient and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. George arranged laundry for us, drove us to and from the port, gave us advice on anything we wanted. We would recommend it to anyone on a budget - you'll have a good stay with helpful hosts - but if you're looking for something unique and full of character, there might be better options.
George met me at the ferry and drove me to the room. The location was very clean and looked just like the images. George also suggested that I check out some of the favorite local beaches, but when I missed the bus, he offered to dropping me off at the beach on the way to another errand. Everyone was so nice and very helpful. It was a great place to stay and George's recommendations were perfect.
George met us at the port, despite a delay, and was incredibly helpful in orienting us to the island and arranging a car rental. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and everyone working there was welcoming and informative. Additionally, it's well located--a 10 minute walk to a bunch of great restaurants and 20 minutes to the monuments.
Highly recommend this place! George was great ~ very gracious, as he was waiting for me at the port but I didn't get the message in time to see, and so picked me up instead from the café where I found wifi... easy walk into town and stroll to st Georges beach or bus to St Prokopios (great find!!).
We had a nice stay in Naxos. George helped us to rent a car and told us his best restaurants in the village! It was nice to have a pool and the hotel is well situated!
