Budget Room, Edge of the World B&B

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · Mamalahoa Hwy, Captain Cook, HI 96704, United States

I completely loved my stay with Kurt and bis family! The room was delightful, clean, and spacious. The sunset view from the wrap-around porch was stunning. I felt so pleasantly nurtured by the fresh fruit and coffee breakfast grown right their farm.

The Space

A very nice bedroom with private bath in a very nice house in a very nice part of the Big Island. Stay on a small coffee/macadamia nut plantation. Enjoy your stay in Kona without breaking the bank. Price includes a big breakfast, use of snorkel equipment, wifi throughout the house. Truly magnificent ocean views of Kealakekua Bay.

The room has a double bed and a twin bed. There's a nice view out the large window of the garden and orchard, and a wonderful skylight tor enjoying the stars at night. We have a table set up on the lanai to take in magnificent ocean sunsets.

A great location for exploring the Big Island. Nearby you will find some of Hawaii's best ocean activities, nature hikes, and archeological sites (The Place of Refuge National Park is a ten minute drive). This is rural Hawaii at its finest, yet there are several fine (and reasonable) restaurants and a supermarket five minutes drive away.

  • Unfortunately, I only stayed one night here on my way back to airport after travelling around the island. If I could re-do my trip, I would have stayed at least another night or two. Kurt and Kana are warm and welcoming, and their daughter, Jenna, is very sweet. The breakfast they served was my favorite meal on the island. Their coffee is delicious. The room was very clean and comfortable, and their home has a beautiful view from the back porch. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the neighborhood! Thanks guys!

  • We spent just one night in Kurts amazing B&B.
The place was so special in a positive way. His house is beautiful, clean and attractive to stay there more than one night.
Also his large platage with many different fruits, macadamia nuts and coffee plants was so cool.
Kurt, his wife and his cute daughter are really georgeous.

I can just recommend this B&B to everyone who goes to Big Island.
