The place clean. Close to things you need but a little far from the touristic places. Need to take public transportation to get to them. For a cheap price, I would recommend it. They were there to reply to our needs and Vera was there to meet us on time.
Great Spot. Easy Check in. Clean, comfortable for two people who can share a big bed. Shower and bathroom are nice. Used the kitchen with no problems, appreciated the cookware provided. Great location, easy access to Sanlitun, Dongzhimen and Airport Express.
One thing that didn't seem to be a big problem, the building says to swipe a card to get into it, but I could never find where to swipe the magnetic card. Then someone told me about a different door that is almost always open, so we just used that. Great little convenience store right on the first floor; cheeses, foreign liquors and chocolates, plus a bunch of daily necessities.
Also they have a keypad entrance to the room so there's no need to worry about losing a key! just punch in your own code.
I had a wonderful 3-week stay in this apartment. For the price and located so close (10 minute walk) to the airport express and subway at Dongzhimen, as well as a useful bus stop right in front of the entrance to the building complex, it is worth it to think about staying here. It is a very secure apartment complex and set back away from the street, providing a bit of quiet after a day out in Beijing. Although the street from which you will enter the housing complex (Dongzhimenwai dajie) does not have much to offer, you can exit to the "back" of the complex onto Chunxiulu and have access to a neighborhood with a great vegetable/fruit/meat market, a variety of restaurants from Sichuan food to a craft brewery, small grocery stores, and walking access to the Sanlitun/Workers' Stadium Area. Or, if you want to stay on Dongzhimen Rd, you can walk West (or bus) about 20-25 minutes toward the Beixinqiao subway stop and find lots of other Chinese dining options and hutong wandering/dining opportunities. While I was there, I dealt primarily with Tracy and Sheila - and they were wonderful in helping me check-in and communicating with me throughout my stay. Whenever I had an issue, they responded immediately and got everything sorted out. The apartment was cleaned twice a week, providing fresh towels, sheets on the bed, toilet paper, and taking out the trash. The kitchen has all the necessary dishes for simple cooking and eating, and the living space can be shut off with a large glass door. The living space itself is ample, with closet space and a large desk and lots of natural light - only one chair. There are some small cosmetic issues due to wear and tear, but it's a very clean apartment and still feels pretty new. As well, the washing machine works just fine; and since I was in Beijing while it was still rather dry, I had no problem drying my clothes on the rack provided in the room. The apartment was a great fit for the length of my stay in Beijing...Thanks!
The flat is very conveniently located around 7 minutes from the train station (but not as close as the map may be suggesting). When you leave the Subway station you need to leave through the exit C if you are walking to the flat.
It's a good size studio and the bathroom was very nice too.
The flat was clean and very warm. The internet was reliable and considerably fast. The flat was overall clean, however, I did need to wash the cutlery and plates before use as they weren't completely clean and had small bits of food here and there. The flat was cleaned once during my 4 nights stay, what was very nice, although a bit unexpected as I have not been made aware it was going to be cleaned.
The view from the 11th floor I am sure would have been great if not the terrible pollution that covered the city during my stay.
I would be happy to stay again.
Nathan and Vera are very helpful. The studio apartment is spacious and location is good and closely to shops, supermarket or transportation. Overall happy stay at the apartment.
The apartment is very conveniently located: the walk to Dongzhimen subway station takes less than 10 minutes. We stayed in the discount studio. It could use a fresh coat of paint and a couple of minor repairs, but it was very clean, had powerful and quiet A/C and a stable internet connection. It was an excellent home base in Beijing.
The apartment is just like the picture -- even better. Nathan and his assistant, Vera, were exceptionally helpful. Beijing would have been overwhelming for a 67 year old grandma and her 13 year old granddaughter if not for their help. In a day, we went from being completely freaked out to feeling like regular Beijingers.
