The six bedrooms have bamboo flooring, large windows and new furniture. There are two full bathrooms upstairs with multicolored slate tiling and new fixtures. The bedrooms have either a queen or double bed in them and are ideal for one to two people. All private rooms share a communal kitchen and living room area. The Annex is located just one block from King Street. It is a quiet, clean house and one of the loveliest accommodations for the price in downtown Charleston. Dogs are allowed for an extra $10/night, however we do have a strict pet policy where dogs cannot be left unattended in the room and must be on a leash at all times. We look forward to hosting you!

Interaction with Guests
We will be around when you need us! I am on-call/on-site, so you can contact me if you need anything at all. Otherwise, you are likely to see me in and out and around during your stay.
I love this neighborhood for its proximity to lively King St, tucked away bakeries like Sugar and Wild Flour, and cool little independent shops like Mac & Murphy (stationery) and Beads on Cannon (beads & jewelry). I love that within 2 blocks, I can be eating brunch and maybe indulging in some sweet gifts at Two Borough's Larder, drinking coffee on a quaint porch at Brown's Court Bakery, or relaxing and doing yoga at Jivamukti Yoga. There is a bike rental place right down the street by King St as well as at our hostel main location, and some really wonderful restaurants in the hip Upper King St area that is conveniently located about 1 block from us, too!
There is a free trolley that runs throughout the entire downtown area, and the stop is only half a block away from us! We also have private, off-street parking available. To get to the annex or main location (where you would check in) from the airport, you can either take a taxi or airport shuttle (which leaves about 30 minutes after every flight that lands from the baggage claim area).
Other Things to Note
Check in is at the main location at 156 Spring Street. Please send us your email via message so we can send you a check in email the day before you arrive with important information about parking, wifi, etc.
Quiet hours are from 10PM to 8AM. Please use common sense, be courteous and clean up after yourself. Put your dish in the dishwasher, put your linens in the laundry basket, have a wonderful time and don't forget to write us when you get back home! We love postcards3
We stayed one night and had no problems. We didn't try the breakfast because we went to a breakfast place around the corner. You can walk to the center and the area is nice. Overall we had a pleasant stay!
This was a great location perfect for someone traveling a lot during the day and just needs a home base...clean and has friendly staff
We had a wonderful stay in Charleston! The Monet Room was clean, comfortable, and conveniently-located in Charleston's historic core. Our host (Bailey) was very hospitable, friendly, and enthusiastic, and if we return to Charleston again, we would certainly come back to the Monet Room!
Great location, easy arrival, check in, and check out. Room was nice and clean and everything was in order.
This was a great hostel type experience, great location and really helpful to have parking! No problem at all sharing the bathrooms. The check in and communication was good. Nice guests!
The room was in a great location! Arrival instructions were easy to understand and everything was clean. The head of the bed is placed towards the street, but earplugs were provided and I slept well.
The room is small and near road that makes noise.
Thank you for your review, I am sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay to the fullest. We do provide earplugs for guests if they find that being in the heart of downtown is too loud. We hope you'll visit us again and try another one of our rooms that is a bit quieter.

The staff at the Notso Hostel are some of the lovelies locals around. Our favorite things to do are eat breakfast with our guests, daydream about traveling and keeping the hostel clean with having as little negative impact on the environment as possible. The hostel is a great place to meet people who enjoy traveling as much as you do.
