About this listing

The space

Our desire is that you feel like home; that's why we offer a place that is COMFORTABLE, spacious, and 100% SUITABLE for your stay on the island.

We can host up to 3 guests, at ground floor level of our apartment, while me, Marina and Zen live upstairs, at first floor.

The accomodation consists of a LARGE ROOM (containing one double-size bed, one single-size bed, tables and chairs), plus one KICHENETTE area (supplied with fridge, microwave oven, toaster, coffee machine, waterboiler, plates, cutlery and glasses) and, of course, the BATHROOM (with shower) that it is NEW and CLEAN.

Very important to know, our guests come and go from an independent door, for their EXCLUSIVE USE.

Our apartment is part of an historic prestigious palace, which is located in the very middle of the city: both the classical sceneries (Rialto's area, Piazza S.Marco's, Ca'Doro) and the most distinctive ones (Jewish Ghetto, Arsenale's area, Murano and Laguna's islands) are VERY EASY TO REACH. Also it is about a twenty minute direct walk from the train station and waterbus stops to any destination are only 1 minute away.

Neighborhood amenities are excellent with two supermarkets, many stores as well as cafès and restaurants: you can feel the relaxing atmosphere all around you enjoying happy hours of "spritz" (the classic Drink of Venice) and wine and tasting tempting seafood dishes.

We are assisting and invisible hosts, at the same time. Assisting, for tips, information, suggestions. Invisible, for your 100% privacy.

Marina was very kind and knowledgeable. Apartment is in an old building but inside was kept very clean. We enjoyed our stay so much.

The unit was in a secluded courtyard very close to everything we wanted to see. Marina and I exchanged frequent texts after we got off the plane, and she came to meet us as we got close. Navigating he narrow alleys in Venice is difficult, and it was quite helpful that she came to get us. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Overall, we had a great time in Venice, and staying at Marina's Air BnB was a big part of that.

Marina's place was a perfect choice for our first visit to Venice. The apartment was conveniently located close to the Fondamente Nove vaporetto stop, with links to all of the main tourist sites. Everything was very comfortable and clean, and Marina kindly provided yoghurts, cereal, milk, pastries etc for our breakfasts. She was extremely helpful during our visit and even came to rescue us when we got lost on our way to the apartment! Thank you to Marina for a lovely stay and we would be very happy to stay with her again on a future visit to beautiful Venice.

Marina is the best host so far I had with Airbnb. Caring and concerned about guests and came to pick us from water taxi stop. Her place is spacious, neat and tidy with great breakfast facilities provided. Highly recommended

A great spot to be in Venice! Very nice neighbourhood, totally in the historic centre but still quiet. The room is on the ground floor, so no stairs. Everything is newly remodeled with clean and simple furniture. Historically the ground floor was not inhabitated in most houses because of the frequent flooding, so if you are looking for a room with historic interior, you will need to check for something in the upper levels. If this is not your priority then you will find this room to be super suitable for a relaxed stay in Venice. Go for it!

Marina's place, in an old building away from any busy main streets, is well-located, charming, comfortable and well-equipped. For our first stay in Venice, and first European Airbnb experience, it was ideal. For starters, the listing description and pictures were very helpful, and as we discovered, accurate; there were no surprises. Marina was most helpful when we asked to drop off our luggage early, and in fact was able to get us settled right away--very nice, since one of us was suffering from a terrible cold and needed rest. The bed and daybed were comfortable, the linens fresh, and the kitchenette very well-equipped; the refrigerator was especially helpful, and we used the coffee maker (which is a bit tricky, and slow) but not the microwave or tea kettle. The bathroom is roomy and updated, and though the shower is cozy, there was plenty of hot water. As the nights were very cool, we appreciated having the heat on. The house is located on a small residential square that gets some foot traffic during the day, but was very quiet at night: if we had needed to open the windows, noise would not have been a problem. (There are church bells that ring at times, but not after 9 at night, or before 7(?) in the morning.) An even better aspect of the location is that it is literally only steps away from two perfectly good places to eat; and a few more steps in almost any direction opens up shopping and eating opportunities of all sorts. We used a 3-day public transport pass to get around Venice in general, and found it very useful (and entertaining), but came back to the local neighborhood to eat out, and to shop for small meals to eat in the room. We took Marina's suggestions twice, and were very happy with both (Pizzeria Casa Mia and Vecia Cavana). We would stay with Marina again, and recommend her place to any couples used to European travel who want a good place to rest.
