About This Listing
Nicely renovated old attached Haus, typical for Brussels from 1911 with a lot of character. 3 balconies. 240m2. Three floors, lots of light, for a maximum of 4 people.
When you walk into the house, there is a beautiful office- and living on your left with old wooden paneling followed by a large dining room towards the back which is separated with a half glass, half wooden door. At the back of the hallway, towards the patio, there is the recently renovated kitchen.
Climbing up the stairs, you first find the bathroom halfway up to the second floor, which has recently been renovated by a design architect. On the second floor, there is a huge sitting room towards the street and the first bedroom towards the patio. The second bedroom is on the third floor towards the street. Each bedroom has a balcony.
The neighbouhood is a blend of a rich residential area with old villas and - on the other side - a more lively international area inhabited by many different nationalities. This is where you will find the shops and restaurants.
There is a tram and bus stop literally just outside accross the street. The city centre can be reached in 10 minutes to the Grand Place and 20 minutes to the European Quarter. There two tram stop and two bus stop just around the corner, one line also goes to the atomium (20 minutes). Park in 5 minutes walking distance. The house is located in a wide alley with lots of other nice old houses from the early 20th century.

Great house and wonderful stay. We only had an issue with the house being a little bit cold in this cold Belgium winter but found enough blankets to keep us cold in our bedroom.
Danke :)
The photos don't really make justice to this place. It's bigger than you would expect! That aside, we had everything we could need available, Arthur was flexible with the time of arrival (a good plus for us, as we arrived in the evening), and he left us plenty of information to get around. We had a great time and would come again!
Arthur's home is lovely, and very convenient to hopping on the bus system. It was wonderful to stretch out in such a spacious home for a few days. There are local shops close by with wonderful fruits, vegetables, etc. It's a short walk to some really good restaurants...Chez Luigi and the Japanese restaurant close to it are both yummy. The pastry shop in that same area was wonderful. Once we learned that there is a limit per day for hot water, we were more judicious in that area and did just fine. We highly recommend this beautiful home.
Arthur's house in Brussels is wonderful. Full of character and a very enjoyable place to stay. It is necessary to travel by tram into the city centre in order to get anything to eat or drink as the local area is very limited. But this was not a problem
We so enjoyed our stay at Arthur's house. The house itself is wonderfully spacious and characterful, and the location is just right for getting around Brussels and exploring. It's around 15 minutes into the centre on the tram and the house is in a bustling neighbourhood. Arthur was v.helpful both before and during our stay and answered any questions we had. A great stay in Brussels for four friends.
