The Ivy Cottage is our smallest and most affordable cabin. This 450 square foot two-story log cabin is very popular with couples and business travelers.

The large wrap around deck features a patio fireplace with reclined bench seating around it and a table for outdoor dining.

The space
The Ivy Cottage can comfortably sleep up to four guests. The downstairs bedroom has a full size bed. A tilted ladder with handrails leads to the loft where there are two twin beds. The cabin has one full bath with a shower/jetted-tub combination.

Welcome Valley Village comprises 6 log cabins and 3 Conestoga wagons on 17 beautiful & lush acres, and 900+ feet of river frontage on the Ocoee itself. Directly over the river is a large riverside dock, riverside pavilion, and small bathhouse with toilets. The dock and riverside pavilion are both very popular with guests, as they offer a serene open-air environment, tucked away in the forest, where guests can relax, drop-in tubes, swim, fish, and enjoy a meal with family.

Our rustic retreat is located in the Cherokee National Forest nestled at the gateway of the Great Smoky Mountains offering easy access to rivers, trails, waterfalls, lakes and more white water rafting outfits than you could count. The Ocoee is known far & wide for its 3 mile stretch of world class rapids however the nearby Hiwassee is a milder mountain river, perfect for younger adventurers who are not yet ready to graduate to the Ocoee. Just up the road is the popular Nantahala river for more leisure paced rafters.

We have loved world travels our entire life though as parents of 8 kids, we move more between TN and Utah, our two family homes, than anywhere else. Frank is an entrepreneur and business owner, lover of history, plants, nature, his faith, philosophy, and our family. Nicole, who stays home to manage our large family and the properties enjoys being in nature, bird watching, trail running with our dogs, date nights with Frank, cuddling with our little ones and cats, conversations with the older kids, studying Gods word, and coffee talks with friends. She loves her Heavenly Father, her family, coffee, and wishing she did not love so much sugar! We love Chattanooga and Southern Utah for too many reasons to list, but also cherish variety and the beauty so many places in the world have to offer.

As hosts, Nicole is home a lot during the day when not out in the community serving and we live on the property, So you will find us responsive, accommodating, and eager to share the treasures of our town and learn the treasures of your own. We know the trails, many waterfalls, parks, restaurants, and attractions of Chattanooga quite well and are willing to be a resource for our guests, offering an intimate knowledge of our home areas of East TN and Southern Utah.

As a traveler, on business I tend to work, read and rest if I can, and prefer to travel with associates or family when I can. As a vacationer, I am eager to share and celebrate the diversity of creation and humanity with my family and to give them an explorers heart, a warmth for difference, and a bit of zeal for travel too. I prefer National Parks to cities, but cities carry their own attraction. I prefer mountains to beaches, forests to fields, and local to corporate or suburban.
