Simple. Inexpensive. Great Location. Suitable for families. Lived in and loved!
This is a practical, not fancy, but great apartment because the location is central in the city yet it is also very calm and quiet. It is the best of both worlds: equidistant between the "Main" ie. Boulevard St Laurent and the mountain that the city is built around which is the biggest park in Montreal...Jeanne Mance Park....Lac Aux Castors. The apartment is on the edge of the Plateau bordering on Mile End. These are both wonderful neighbourhoods with great cafes, restaurants and boutiques. It is a 5 minute walk to the mountain and so is a great apartment if you like to have access to nature while in the city, or if you have a dog. It is 10 minutes walk to Metro Mont-Royal, 20 minute walk to Place des Arts and Quartiers des Festivals. It is on the 2nd floor of a triplex, with no upstairs neighbours and a back balcony. There are 13 steps to the front door.
This apartment is very accessible by public transit, or bike but street parking is a challenge. Access by bus routes #80 on Av du Parc and #55 on (website hidden) -Laurent (which also go to Old Montreal), 11 ( to the Lac aux Castors) and 97 on Av Mont-Royal.
There are a few changes from the photos because I am not living there at the moment, so the personal items in the bedrooms are gone but the furniture remains. The closets and drawers are for you.
There are four Bixi (Bike) stations within two blocks and the Bixi (Bike) key is provided.
It is a 51/2:
Child's bedroom with trundle beds
(small ) Master bedroom with queen size bed
Bedding and towels provided
Kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, utensils and appliances. Everything you need to cook.
Washer and dryer.
Cable TV, high speed WiFi internet, local phone, (air conditioning), printer
There is also an office area which has no closed door.
Baby travel essentials supplied: Baby Travel Bed, Booster seat and Baby chair.
Plastic cups and dishes.
5 minute walk to sunday tam tam
2 minute walk to provigo (grocery store), CLSC, SAQ (liquor store)
3 minute walk to Pharma-prix (pharmacy) and Blvd Saint-Laurent
Lots of great bars and restaurants in close proximity: Le Filet, Robin du Bois, Aux Vivre, Terrace Lafayette, Maza Meze, Souvenirs d'Indochine, Maccaroni Bar, etc...
I prefer to be able to accommodate your unique itinerary. Therefore check-in and departure times are (website hidden)-operation is required to be sure there is no conflict. If you are planning to arrive early ( before 1pm) or leave late ( after 2pm ) please be sure to mention it. So far, so good.
This is a simple and quiet apartment very close to all the action.
You are welcome to use anything on the premises including the closets and drawers and any food that has been left there. The towels and linen are in closet between kitchen and 2nd bedroom etc. Internet, phone, TV etc...

Interaction with Guests
Unfortunately, I am rarely able to meet my guests in person but I am always close by and available to answer questions and make suggestions.
It has just about everything you need within a few minutes of walking distance.
YES! Bixi, STM
Other Things to Note
Denise lives downstairs and she has little tolerance for the sound of children running or jumping because the floors have no sound insulation. Diane lives next door. Matt lives downstairs to the left ( towards Villeneuve) and the apartment downstairs to the right is empty.
No smoking inside the apartment. If you smoke on the balcony, be sure the smoke does not drift into the apartment through the window. Pets are welcome. There are plants inside and flowers on the balcony so regular watering is required. Like most apartments on the Plateau there is not a lot of sound insulation between the floors so its best to take your shoes off when you are inside as a courtesy to the person who lives on the first floor. There is no one living in the apartment upstairs so its very quiet.
The listing was accurate, the apartment was quiet, clean and comfortable. Keryn was very easy to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay!
Great apartment. Much bigger than it aeems in the pictures. Great neighborhood right by the mountain. Our host was very helpful. Cant beat it for the price.
We had a wonderful experience with Keryn. She was communicative, open to our schedule, and her place was exactly what we needed: a clean, home-like apartment with plenty of charm. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient to restaurants, bars, and sights.
Keryn's apartment was super charming and the location was superb. It had everything we needed for our stay, and the washer/dryer was a lifesaver. The neighborhood was really quiet and peaceful, as well. Thank you, Keryn!
A really nice, clean, and bright apartment ideally located between Mile End and the Plateau. Keryn was an excellent host who provided all of the information we required for our stay. Highly recommended.
Lovely stay, very responsive host and great location close to many bars, restaurants and shops. Cannot be beat for the price.
This is our favorite place to stay in Montreal. Keryn is extremely helpful with any questions; the location is ideal (next to the park, close to groceries and all the best bars/restaurants); and the house is cozy/warm in the winter and cool in the summer. We hope to be back soon!
I am originally from Toronto. I have lived in a few different cities and I've done a fair bit of traveling, mostly for work. Since 2003 Montreal has been my home. I have two children. I have been a professional dance artist for 25 years. My own company is called MamaDances. I lived at this apartment with my eldest daughter for five years. We love it. Now I have another child and we have an additional home farther away. I am a super busy person because I run my own dance company and have quite a few people working for me, so, I am available if you need anything but other than that, we may not even get a chance to meet in person. You are pretty much on your own.
