  • We had such a wonderful time visiting Deanna's and Glen's home! This was my first airbnb stay and I was not sure if it would feel strange staying in someone's home. But they made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our room was very large and very private. We had a fantastic getaway. They made delicious breakfasts on both days and provided so many nice little touches - such as having fresh cut Dahlias from their garden throughout the rooms. We also enjoyed playing Mancala and learning Deanne's adapted version of Chinese Checkers :) It was really nice being able to play a few games after breakfast. There is a lot to do in the area, and Deanne and Glen have a beautiful home and are wonderful hosts. We hope to get back to stay with them again sometime!

  • I only spent one night with Deanne and Glen. They live in an absolutely stunning location in the middle of the country. It would be my ideal place to live :) The room was much bigger than I expected, with a wonderful view and well appointed as well as very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, breakfast was good (various self-serve options). Deanne and Glen were hospitable but never invasive... A great night in a wonderful home. If you are in the area I highly recommend staying here.

  • My husband and I were traveling with a dear friend when we stayed with Deanna and Glenn in late August 2013. Everything about the experience was actually dazzling: a huge, beautifully appointed home with comfortable, tasteful bedrooms, and a breathtaking view of surrounding hills and valleys. Deanna and Glenn are warm and very accommodating hosts, and breakfast was exactly what we hoped for. We are new to Airbnb, but it's difficult to believe that there are many situations this lovely and comfortable!

  • A one of a kind experience!

From the time we booked our stay until the time we checked out the communication, help and generosity of Deanna and Glen was exceptional! They allowed us to check-in early and provided us with a tour at that time. We were cycling in the area and they were more than happy to help us with details for our trip -- printing maps and recommending restaurants along the way. They went above a beyond with their hospitality which could not have been more appreciated after many hours on our bikes! Our room and the facilities were very clean and we even had fresh flowers from her garden in our room when we arrived. There were two beds in separate areas that were very comfortable -- it was huge! The only downside of our stay was that it was only one night! We would stay no other place in Salem should we come back.

  • We can't say enough nice things about Deanna and Glen. They were very helpful in making sure we arrived to their home without getting lost and we enjoyed their warm welcome upon our arrival. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and despite the cloudy weather the view was beautiful. We truly enjoyed the time spent with Deanna and Glen and we are so grateful to have met such wonderful people.

  • I really loved my stay at this great and beautiful property. The house was immaculate and Deanna really took the time to equip the suite with nice things like chocolate mints, teas, kettle, microwave, and travel and reading material. The beds were comfortable and the views over the Willamette Valley, beautiful.
In addition, Glen and Deanna were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast of fresh berries, toast, cereal, and coffee was an extra unexpected bonus.
I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Deanna and Glen love the beauty of the Willamette Valley and enjoy gardening, nature hikes, art, photography and local wineries. Their home has a large deck with a beautiful view of the valley and Ankeny Bird Refuge and is great for relaxing with a good book, binoculars and glass of wine. There is abundant wildlife and over 30 species of birds with a big vegetable garden and fruit trees. They enjoy traveling, good food and living in the center of the valley allows them to drive an hour in any direction to play at the coast, the mountains or Portland for the plays and dance productions they frequent.
