ABOUT THE APARTMENT
The apartment is 35m2 and very nicely arranged (no lost space) with a bedroom and a salon (living room), a separate kitchen, and separate w/c (toilet room) and bathroom with full tub. There are windows in every room and lots of light. It is not your typical sparsely furnished Paris apartment. Our place is very nicely decorated and furnished. It is perfect for a single person or couple.
This is strictly a NON-SMOKING apartment.
LIVING ROOM / SALON:
- Nicely furnished
- Sofa (NOT a sofa-bed)
- Large Flat-screen TV
- Wifi ADSL Internet
- House phone with free calls to many countries including the USA
- clothes washer/dryer
- Lots of extra storage space
The bedroom has a super-comfortable 140x190cm (double) bed and huge amounts of closet/storage space (very unusual for Paris!)
Full-size bathtub with hand-shower. Sink with lighted mirror. Lots of towel racks and storage. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water.
It is on the 5th floor (IMPORTANT: there is no elevator!) but is high enough to get lots of light. It is on a small courtyard off the street, so there is virtually no street noise.
Live like a real Parisian. The location is very central, between Place de la Bastille and Place de la République, just off the Place Léon Blum.
The closest métro station is "Voltaire" which is one block away. Just down the street is the beautiful Père Lachaise cemetery and we are a 10 minute walk from the Marais district (in one direction) and 10 minutes (in the other direction) from the Oberkampf area (with great bars and cafés).
Just 1/2 block away, there are the small shops where we do our daily shopping (boulangerie, cheese shop, butcher, fruits/veggies, etc.), and there are two large supermarkets on the Place Léon Blum, one block away.
LIKE A HOTEL, BUT A FULL APARTMENT
The apartment is thoroughly cleaned by a professional before and after each stay. Sheets and towels are washed with hypoallergenic, environmentally friendly detergent. The apartment is fully prepared for you on your arrival, ready for you to "move in" with just a suitcase. There is an iron and ironing board for your use. We make every effort to minimize waste and recycle.
There is a multi-function printer available in the apartment and we can also provide you with a pay-as-you-go mobile phone that you can use during your stay.
The security deposit:
The security deposit is handled entirely by AirBnb. Your credit card is authorized for the deposit amount when you make the booking, and the authorization is then removed 48 hours after your check-out if everything is in order.

The 11th arrondissement of Paris is great in many ways. It's very central but off the tourist track, so you can get to all the sights quickly but you are in a very residential Parisian neighborhood. There are also many small food shops and two large supermarkets just down the street, so shopping is quick and easy.
The "Voltaire" metro station (line 9) is a 2-minute walk from the apartment, and there are many bus lines also. So you can get anywhere in Paris quickly and easily. I'm happy to answer any transportation questions you may have to help make your stay as pleasant as possible!
Please feel free to ask me any questions about the apartment, the neighborhood, or Paris in general. I am American and lived in Paris for more than 14 years, and I am happy to help make your stay fantastic.

parfait rien ne manque
Wow. This place was absolutely amazing. We had the best holiday of our lives so far thanks to this appartment. There are some wonderful restaurants (e.g. Cafe Rey) nearby and there's an amazing bakery just at the bottom of the street, not to mention a famous absinthe bar (la fee verte). We were close enough to walk into the city centre every day (Notre Dame area) and the wifi is essential as you can plan your journey each day. We had only a few phrases of french but everyone was really understanding and there was never an issue. The appartment feels very very safe. Also, something we weren't originally aware of: there's a doctor's right in the complex, your don't even have to go out onto the street to find one, this made us feel even safer. We got used to the stairs after the first day, I had injured my leg pretty badly on the previous leg of our journy in another country but did not have any problem with the stairs here. We were also allowed to book the appartment well in advance. Also, it's is worth considering getting a taxi from the airport straight to the appartment because it works out at just a little bit more with two people travelling, and we just showed the address to the taxi driver at the airport and he took us straight there without any problems. All in all we would recommend this appartment to anyone going to stay in Paris, it's wonderful.
The apartment was amazing, exactly as described, very cozy and accessorized, so straight away it feels like home.
Lorin was wonderful and very helpful.
And most important, the water were really hot (!) all the time, and in a high flow :)
we defiantly come back.
Lorin was a terrific host! Always responded within the hour to any questions I had and his apartment was absolutely beautiful. Great location near a metro station, on a quiet street that overlooks a courtyard. Being on the fifth floor kept street noise to a minimum, and the amenities offered made me feel right at home! It was my first time in Paris and it being for business, this was the exact apartment I needed. I will be sure to reach out to Lorin next time I visit Paris as this was a perfect way to experience the city
Lorin's place is set up for a perfect stay. The apartment has everything needed, and we were comfortable for a full week. Very close to a great metro stop, and plenty of necessary stores, cafes, bistros nearby. We especially enjoyed walking up and down Rue de la Roquette.
We loved it!
This lovely Paris apartment is in the vibrant 11th arrondissement. It offers a complete set of amenities: kitchen with utensils, living room with leather couch and tv, and bedroom with queen bed. We got a kick out of the Parisian sense of economy in arranging so many things in the available space. It was cozy without feeling small. We rarely glimpsed other tenants in the building and overall everyone kept the place very quiet.
The building and views are very quaint and just looking out the window into the courtyard was a special experience. We took great advantage of the library of Paris guidebooks to plan our daily forays into the city.
The Rue Voltaire metro stop is only a half block away around the corner. There are many cafes and shops on the same block, and the Bastille is within easy walking distance. Some days we roamed far and wide - and other days we were fully engaged close to home. Since this was our first trip to Paris we made sure to hit all of the popular hotspots - one of our best days was a day ticket on the BatoBus which ranges the Seine from the Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower making many stops. Be sure to take the stop to the Musee D'Orsay on that trip.
We highly recommend this apartment if you are going to Paris by yourself or with a loved one.
We enjoyed our 6 day stay in Lorins apt. In Dec. It was clean,
comfortable, has what we needed and the stairs were no secret. About 5 min. down the street is Voltaire station so you can get any where in Paris easily. We didn't get to meet Lorin, but communication with him was easy and he was very helpful.
Thanks Lorin, the extra days worked out nicely.

Our stay at Lorin's apartment couldn't have been nicer.
It was in an exciting neighborhood, close to everything, and when you got inside it was quiet and we always felt safe walking home at night. The apartment itself was very clean and had all the amenities for a week long stay. I would recommend it to everyone!
Fantastic little apartment in a great location. The apartment is comfortable, clean and Lorin was very easy to work with. Would recommend staying here. Note: apt is on 5th floor and no elevator.
I obviously think Lorin is a fantastic host and that his apartment is great since I went back to stay there again, this time with my husband! And next time I go to Paris I hope to stay there again. I can't think of a stronger recommendation than that!
