Make us your home away from home while you enjoy the many delights the Cape has to offer. Crosswinds B&B is a small, family owned place. When you call us, you talk directly with the people who fell in love with this location on Ft. Hill and work diligently to preserve its charming character and natural beauty. We love sharing it with travelers who appreciate the difference between staying in a motel and experiencing the unique and special attention one gets in a B&B.
Our rooms are decorated to make you feel like you’re visiting family or friends instead of motel-motif. Because the Studio and Cottage at Crosswinds B&B both offer private entrances, bathrooms, outdoor relaxation areas, and the convenience of a kitchenette stocked with breakfast choices, we combine the intimacy of a B&B and the privacy of a motel. We look forward to meeting you and gladly assist you with information and recommendations about the area, if desired.
Located on a private compound with separate entrance and bath, kitchen stocked with breakfast foods, large room with comfortable queen-size bed and sitting area, HD TV with premium movie channels, gas fireplace for winter, private patio with gas grill.
Crosswinds B&B is located 1 1/2 miles north of the Orleans rotary in Eastham, approx. 2 miles from ocean or bay beaches, 1 mile from bike trail and only 3/10 mile from the Fort Hill Lookout and Nature trails in the National Seashore. Whether you enjoy the beaches, shopping, bicycle trails, historical sites or nature trails, we are near them all.
Interaction with Guests
We orient guests to what is available in their suite to assure their comfort and enjoyment, provide general information about the area, answer specific questions and make suggestions. Then, we're available as needed, but do not intrude.
Our neighborhood is rural, historic and scenic; the beginning of the National Seashore.
There is a Flex Bus available, and bike rental shops, but we recommend having your own transportation.
Other Things to Note
Many people find the convenient location on the corner of Route 6 and Governor Prence Road and the spacious, landscaped grounds enjoyable, however, if you are looking for a totally quiet experience in the months of July or August, the rooms are quiet, but there is road noise during the daytime outside. That said, you are only steps away from protected marshland and the beginning of the National Seashore.
Please observe the no pets/no smoking rules.
We stayed at Ron and Andrea's place for 2 nights. Although the weather was pretty bad, the cozy cottage with the fireplace made it a great weekend.
Ron an Andrea were lovely hosts , very kind and welcoming. They bought lactose-free products for breakfast (I'm lactose intolerant) and recommended a very nice restaurant where we had a delicious dinner! Great hosts and lovely place!
This is a great, cozy place to stay! We stayed a day after a snowstorm, and the fireplace kept us nice and warm. There were nice snacks and breakfast items in the kitchen for us to eat, and it was a nice place to spend a weekend, winter or summer. It's only a short walk to forthill, where you can see the water and hike some short trails.
Ron and Andrea were lovely hosts - Ron was waiting for us when we arrived and gave us a thorough introduction to the house, property, and area. Ron was an excellent resource regarding local interests - he gave us excellent council regarding activities, restaurants, hikes, sights, etc. We followed his advice and couldn't have had a more lovely time on the Cape! The cottage was cute, well-kept, comfortable, and well-stocked with breakfast foods and snacks. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs and reading by the fireplace. The kitchen is small but more than ample for cooking for two; staying in and cooking dinner was a nice break from going out. Its location is ideal, centrally located between the towns of Chatham and Orleans with their restaurants and grocery stores and the Cape Cod National Seashore with its lighthouses, beaches, and hikes. Both Ron and Andrea were very friendly but also very respectful of our space and privacy. We are already planning a trip back during the summer!
Crosswinds is exactly as described and fully deserves all of the positive reviews it has been given. Andrea has a wealth of knowledge about the local communities and is a gracious and attentive host. Highly recommended.
We absolutely adored our stay at Ron and Andrea's cute little cottage. It is new, well-equipped and very 'homey' - with a gas fire-stove, wonderful breakfast choices and 2 rocking chairs (so there will be fights)! It was lovely to meet Ron and Andrea who were warm, friendly and generous hosts (including, providing useful hints for activities, sights and restaurants nearby as well as helping us with our car when we had engine issues). We will definitely be back if we are in the area. Thanks!
Very personable couple; waited for and welcomed us after a 6-hour drive in a pounding rainstorm. Helpful with tips and directions for our time at the Cape. Cottage was clean, private, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with a well-stocked fridge, coffee, etc. Short walk to a beautiful overlook; easy access to beaches due to proximity to Rte. 6. Some highway noise due to this.

Ever had a place that just seemed like magic to you? Well, Cape Cod is that place for us, and we are here to stay! Opening Crosswinds B&B is our way of sharing the fun with interesting people from all over the world. We have had a varied background before settling in Eastham. Ron is a carpenter, equity actor and musician who enjoys world travel and taking relaxing rides on his motorcycle around the Cape. Andrea has worked as an elementary school secretary and has experience in the home health business and investment banking. She can frequently be found tending the gardens, capturing photos, perusing the many local antique and thrift shops and writing her monthly blog, 'Life at a Cape Cod B&B'. We are both avid Red Sox and Patriot fans. We look forward to meeting you!
