Fantastic location. Beautiful cottage. Very comfortable with everything needed for a great stay.
This really is a magical spot! Staying in the lighthouse keeper's cottage was something special. You feel very close to nature here and over just one weekend we spotted a humpback whale, a dingo and a couple of pods of dolphins.
The cottage itself is perfectly cosy for a cottage built in 1875, we were warm enough and the kitchen had everything we need to cook up a nice roast.
Great experience! We'll be back
This was the highlight of our trip to Australia. The lighthouse is AMAZING! We really enjoyed the gorgeous accommodation and took advantage of the beaches that were just a short walk away. There were whales and dolphins visible from the shore and the water was amazing for a swim. One of the best places we've ever stayed.
On our arrival we felt welcomed and special. The whole week was fabulous, the area is beautiful, the lighthouse spectacular and the accommodation first rate! Everything was simply perfect!
We stayed at the North Cottage for 4 days/3 nights and absolutely loved it! Judy showed us around and gave us useful tips. The cottage itself was very spacious, clean, had a big front and back yard/garden and an amazing view overlooking the beach (perfect for watching the sunset on the patio).
The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and it's only a short drive to Pacific Palms/Smiths Lake to get fresh food/veggies/etc.
I had my family over from Europe and we definitely enjoyed staying at this amazing location. Can't wait to be back!
This breathtaking experience was unforgettable!!
Nothing less than a perfect, picturesque location for the greatest getaway ever.
I've already told numerous (now jealous) friends of the getaway.
I'll be back for sure. :)
Our two-night-stay at the lighthouse cottage was a wonderful, relaxing, memorable vacation! We loved the spaciousness and layout of the historic buildings, and the sweet personal touches added by the hosts, such as fresh lavender twigs on the towels provided. We felt like the keepers of the magical lighthouse, watching sunsets and the tides shifting on the beach below, cooking home-made meals in the kitchen, eating on the front porch with a great view and/or the wonderfully cool dining room. Thank you very much for stewarding an amazing place. We wish we could have stayed much longer!
It was our pleasure to have you and your friends stay. We enjoy sharing this piece of unspoiled natural beauty and historical significance ... and the amazing night time experience of the working lighthouse. We appreciate your comments ... thank you!!
