Our space is a two bedroom, two bath apartment, with a den/solarium that acts as a part-time office, just minutes away from Davie Street, Yaletown, and the West End of Vancouver. We are located just a short walk to both the Granville Skytrain and to Yaletown Skytrain, and a minute walk from both Granville Street and Burrard Street, two major bus routes where you can catch buses to all parts of Vancouver as well as to a number of Skytrain stations.
If you are a single person or a couple, you will have your own private bedroom and bathroom and the cost is as per the Airbnb cost. The kitchen and the rest of the apartment is shared. If you are looking to rent the entire apartment, you can have both bedrooms, and use of the whole apartment, if available when I am away. Simply write me a message, and I can let you know if it is available as well as what the rental price will be. Generally, the cost is double what I charge for the rental of the one room.
I do not have cable TV. I do get basic cable only from Oct-Mar. Instead, I watch all TV shows, news stations such as CBC, CNN, BBC, etc directly from their websites as all have live feeds. There is wireless highspeed Internet and an HDMI cable to my 46inch TV for you to do this, watch movies, Netflix, etc.
Some of the amenities of my building are as follows. One, we have a dry sauna which is nice to use after a long day. There is a small simple gym, with a number of bikes and stairclimbers to use. There is also a pool table and a ping pong table to use, on a first come, first serve basis.
My neighbourhood is great in that the biggest decision you have when going out is what kind of mood you are in. Granville Street has theatres, music clubs and movies, and a rowdy nightlife. Yaletown has trendy shops, pubs and restaurants. Davie Street and the West End is a great neighbourhood, full of restaurants and diverse local everyday shopping. If you don't feel like making or walking far for your morning coffee, a Starbucks is located at ground level of my building. Of course, a short walk away is the seawall if you wish to walk or bike to the Olympic Village or around Stanley Park.
A couple of last points.
I have listed set check-in and check-out times, however I can be flexible on these times if needed depending. Just let me know your times and usually a solution can be found.
My building is very secure, each floor requires a fob to access, and parking requires a fob as well. There is an on-site resident manager, who is great. Many of the people in the building are great as well.
I do live in the heart of downtown near some lively areas, which means that the buzz of downtown is always present during the day, and during the evening on weekends. During the summer, downtown Vancouver is VERY lively with festivals, Fireworks, street closures for events, etc. If you love downtown, it is perfect. If you are from a quiet area, and prefer quiet areas, do not book downtown. While the majority of people who have stayed at my place have been fine, those that come from quieter areas may find a downtown buzz new to them, so I have put earplugs beside the bed.
I also have a great cat who is friendly, so last, but not least, have fun with my cat!

My two friends and I spent a great moment in Vancouver thanks to Wallace. He welcomed us friendly and found a safe place to park our bikes. The bedroom was clean and he has an adorable cat!
Last but not least, the apartment is ideally located
I had an absolute blast in Vancouver and one of the main reasons was the hospitality of Wallace and the location of his flat in the city. Wallace is a very accommodating host - extremely friendly and quite knowledgable and helpful in regards to things to do in the city. His apartment is great and the guest bedroom with the private bathroom is very convenient and comfortable. The location of Wallace's apartment is amazing. You can walk to nearly all of your shopping, partying, and eating needs in under 20 minutes. Also, he is a ten minute walk from the train station and close to all major bus transit lines that can get you through the city. If I ever need a place to stay when I come back to Vancouver this would be my first choice.
I had an excellent stay at Wallace's place. The location is perfect, the room with private bathroom has everything it needs and the parking spot is handy. But the most important for me: Wallace is a really nice guy! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend you to do so too.
Wallace's place is in a great location - easy to walk around Downtown Vancouver from here. Wallace is a great host - really helpful and accommodating. Lilo the cat is such a character - we enjoyed spending time with her too! I would definitely recommend Wallace's place to anyone - a fantastic place to stay!
Stayed only 2 nights in Wallace appartement, but had the pleasure to meet him in person.
He is a great, very intersting far travelled guy and a super nice host.
The location downtown is just perfect to explore the city by foot or bus, the room is just as described, to have your own bathroom is always a treat and to get exceptional service with coffe, tea and toast in the morning is a blast! I really enjoyed my stay and the chats I had with Wallace and would always come back, no doubt.
My friends and I rented Wallace's whole apartment. Though we did not get the chance to meet Wallace, his friend Shawn met us and explained us everything. The flat is very cozy and just the same as it looks like on the pictures. We had a great stay in Vancouver- and would come back any time. Thanks for everything, especially the communication was great!
PS: the cat is great!
Clean room with convenience location. Take 10mins to Skytrain and 5mins to the street where have lots of restaurant. Lilo is a nice cat, she loves people very much.
We did not get to meet Wallace but we did meet his friend who greeted us and oriented us to his home. Wallace's home is centrally located which made it easy to get around. We enjoyed our stay in Vancouver and appreciated the fact that we had a parking space throughout our stay. We would recommend Wallace's home to anyone who is visiting Vancouver. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.
Unfortunately we didn't get to know Wallace in person during our stay in Vancouver. But the apartement was very nice and well located and his cat was lovely. His friend Farhanna introduced us very well. We would come back again.
