  • An adventurous experience. I emailed a week in advanced, and she told me to take a taxi and text her when I arrived at the airport. At the airport, I get an email about me not contacting her. And then I kept texting and calling and no answer. So I waited outside the building for an hour. Rather than apologize, she blamed the other guest for not being around. She never came by that evening to tell me anything. Later during the stay, the wifi wasn't working and I texted her. She sent me a text much later, after I already left and blamed me for not going to the other apartment to try the wifi. On the last day, she waited until I had already left to finally give me instructions on what to do with the keys. Location-wise- near very nice neighborhood, but the block itself is not great. And it's perfectly situated between two metro lines (meaning, not a close walk from either. The rooms are basic and neat. The AC is loud, but it works.

  • A little far from downtown, but with a car it didn't seem that out of the way at all. Gail was very nice and helpful Would definitely stay with her again!

  • The room was nice but the kitchen and bathroom were a bit dirty. I guess you get what you pay for.

  • Gail is a wonderful host, and her rooms offer excellent value at 25 or 40 dollars per night - VERY comfortable beds, excellent/central locations close to transit, shopping, cafes etc (I've stayed in her rooms on three occasions now, so I speak from experience). Highly recommended, especially for shorter stays.

  • Gail is a very accomodating host and the apt was very clean and tidy. I was not able to move upstairs to another apt as had been arranged and Gail went out of her way to allow me to stay in the original room.
The people who live here are long term tenants and very pleasant people..I was sceptical about the area but it was very safe. There is a fruit store and bakery/coffee shop on the avenue close by and the Maxi is two ( long) blocks away...a very pleasant experience. I would definitely rent from Gail again.
