About this listing
I live in the ideal location for exploring the Wine Country. I am 10 minutes to downtown and situated at the entry point to Hwy 12 leading to Sonoma and Napa wineries. Annadel State Park for biking, hiking and walking.
Hello and thanks for selecting my site!
A few of my reviews say "We had a first class experience", "host was accommodating and responsive", and "a very comfortable bed". I have found that many guests now prefer going out to breakfast so I offer coffee
You are central to town and many wineries and wedding venues. The winery road to Sonoma and Napa is beautiful and many, many wineries are located on either side of the two lane road. There are over 480 wineries in Sonoma County. You're also close to Glen Ellen, Sonoma, Calistoga, Healdsburg.
Your bedroom suite is upstairs offering privacy and a tasteful decor. The bedroom has a remarkably comfortable bed and deluxe linens to pamper you. Lots of natural light,a table and chairs and private bathroom complete the bedroom. Off of the bedroom is a private, partly enclosed deck where you can enjoy a cup of coffee made from fresh coffee beans or sip a glass of your favorite wine in the evening while watching the stars. The bathroom is spacious with a new tile floor.
I enjoy keeping my home very clean. I'm pleased to provide extra amenities to my guests like shampoo, body wash, razors, and a hair dryer.
CHECK OUT time is 11 am.
I'm sorry but no single males, babies, children or animals.
PLEASE arrange your initial check in time so that you will arrive no later than 9pm. This is important to me as I rise very early. After the first check in you may come and go as you please. Please print this confirmation for directions because these directions will not show on your mobile phone. When you arrive at 300 Los Alamos Rd turn to the left and find a place to park. ( Anything open is fine). Look for a 3 story building. This building is located very close to the complex's entrance so if you go past the garages you have gone too far. The neutral color on the building does make it difficult to find in the dark. There are lights on 24/7 in the lobby which you will be able to see. There are entrances on both sides. Go to the middle of the building where you will find an elevator. Punch in 3 for the 3rd floor. My condo is #302, the first one you will see when you leave the elevator.
Interaction with Guests
Most of my guests are quite active. I see them in the morning and perhaps in the evening. I allow my guests to determine how much interaction we have. I am semi retired and work from my home.
I like that my neighborhood is established and that it is in a nice area of Santa Rosa. It really is the perfect place to explore Sonoma and Napa Counties. There are many wineries right outside my front door on Hwy 12 going toward the town of Sonoma.Napa and the ocean are 1 hour away.
Guests comment on the quietness, comfortable bed, spaciousness of the room and my hospitality. I love my guests!
Sonoma County is quite large. It is necessary to have a car here. I have had some guests use Uber or a service like that to drive them to wineries with success. Also there are cabs in the area. There are day tours available which have been well received.
Other Things to Note
I do not have air conditioning and in the summer temperatures range from 70's to 90's with the evening temps dropping down to make for pleasant sleeping. There are two fans in the room and a sliding glass door to provide fresh air. I like to be upfront about this so you have a good experience in my home.
I have a book of recommendations and am happy to provide you with suggestions on wineries, restaurants and things to do.
Spring Lake is right outside my door. Great place to bike, run and walk. For more serious hikers there is Annadel State Park right next door to the lake.
My kitchen is not set up for you to cook full meals but sandwiches etc are fine. Putting drinks in the fridge is fine too.
CHECK IN TIME NO LATER THAN 9PM.
Check out time is 11am.
The rest of the time you are free to come and go as you please as I have a combination lock on the front door.
Sorry, no pets, no smoking and I prefer women and couples.
You may use my washer and dryer as long as you stay here until laundry is done.
I am able to accommodate 1-2 guests only.
Gaelena was warm and welcoming. The room, bathroom, and terrace were beautiful and clean. The bed was comfortable and the towels were fluffy. Breakfast was delicious. Gaelena was an absolutely perfect host. The information book she put together was very helpful, too. Would happily stay again. Can enthusiastically recommend.
As first time Airbnb-ers, my husband and I were honestly nervous about the experience, but our nerves quickly went away upon talking with Gaelena. On the day of our trip, we were stuck in traffic for several hours, which pushed our ETA to about 7pm (about 2 hours later than expected). Gaelena was absolutely incredible about communicating with us and making sure we received adequate information to independently access our room. Her room is as lovely as the pictures, but what you don't get to experience just by looking at it is how great it also smells! That definitely put the icing on the cake. Gaelena also put together an information book that my husband and I loved! It was so nice and convenient to flip through the pages to local restaurants and wineries to explore one BIG bite and sip at a time. Oh, I also forgot to pack my toothbrush, but Gaelena had that base covered as she already had a variety of toiletries ready for us to pick from. Gaelena is a beautiful person inside and out, and so is her home! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; thank you Gaelena!
This is a great stay!! Gaelena is a very welcoming host and the room is exactly as described. She makes wonderful baked goods and coffee each morning and is a great resource for things to do/see in the area. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the private balcony and the quiet, relaxing location. I would definitely recommend staying with Gaelena to anyone making their way to Santa Rosa or the wine country.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is ideal for wine country tours! The room was very nice, clean and pretty and had its own bathroom and a wonderful patio with flowers where we enjoyed the wine we had tasted on our tour.
Gaelena is a great host who gave us the best restaurant recommendation we could have hoped for. The breakfast at her place was wonderful, with fresh homemade baking!
Gaelena was a wonderful host! It was our first time in the Santa Rosa/Sonoma area and she had some awesome suggestions for restaurants and running trails. We felt very comfortable and welcome. Our bedroom was exactly as it looks in the picture and Gaelena provided us with everything we could possibly need and then some! She even had a booklet filled with local restaurants/wineries/other things to do, which we found incredibly helpful! She made delicious scones for us in the morning, and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with Gaelena over breakfast. Thank you for helping make our first trip to Santa Rosa so enjoyable!
Hostess welcomed us, showed us the room/deck with private bath. quiet neighborhood, combination lock.
Gaelena was so welcoming! She made us scones for breakfast and she had great suggestions about wineries. The room looks exactly as it's depicted. Sleeping on that bed is like sleeping on a cloud! The area is absolutely gorgeous- what beautiful trees!
About the Host, Gaelena
I'm easy going, love to laugh, reader of books, a baker and native to the area. I enjoy music, helping 1st graders learn to read and being creative.
I welcome travelers who prefer the quiet side of life and still appreciate being social.
I will always be on hand to lend a personal touch to your stay here. I enjoy Airbnb because it is built on trust and people enjoying people.
I'm concerned with your level of comfort when you're in my home. I like to offer fresh ground coffee, tea and a sweetbread for breakfast along with conversation if you would like. There is a small table in your room if you would like to enjoy your breakfast upstairs overlooking the deck.
Hosting is fun because of the many different types of people that come through! It makes life so interesting! I enjoy traveling and love to hear about other peoples' hometowns and travel experiences.
