Situated in the historical centre of Fosses-La-Ville, the "gites" (cottages) of the "Apothecarius" (pharmacists) receive their name from their history. In fact, a number of generations of pharmacists resided in this historical art-deco house. Today it's two complete apartments, tastefully decorated by the owner Muriel, welcomes tourists as well as business travelers.
Inspired by the town's rich middle age history, Muriel has preserved the original style and character of this authentic town house. She has salvaged all that she was able including: doors, door handles, oak floors, stained glass, and mantelpieces. She even recovered the old flasks of the pharmacists, dusty and forgotten in the cellar.
This gite has two floors. On the second floor, there is a large space that would have been appreciated by the 'bourgeois' in the middle ages and under the beams, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room decorated with beams and a wrought iron chandelier.
The bathroom, with very nice black and silver wallpaper is impressive and extremely refined. All rooms are decorated with original antiques found by the owner. Great!

Muriel was very friendly. I just gave her a call about the key when i arrived and could get into the house. The house is perfect! Its cozy and big. Everything looks exactly as in the pictures. When your there you will feel like home.
Muriel was a wonderful host - our late arrival in was no problem, and advice given on local attractions, bakeries and restaurants was excellent. A great bath room. and really comfortable beds made this a great place to stay. Its a shame it was only for 2 nights.
Muriel's appartement is a great place to spend a weekend with friends. Along with the two originally decorated bedrooms, the couch turns into a very comfortable double bed. The kitchen has all the modern luxuries one can possibly need, and the bathroom even has a rain shower and a bath. The village is nice, with some restaurants, but don't come here for nightlife. Instead, go to the nearbye lake Bambois, or stroll around in the city of Namur. One slight disappointment was that you can't actually enter the garden. When we were there the weather was so exceptionately nice that it would have been great to have breakfast there.
Very nice place. Very clean.
The neighbourhood is beautiful!
Muriel is nice and welcoming. She gives touristic advice.
