Lotte was a fantastic host and gave us so many great tips for the local area. The apartment is really lovely too, very bright and airy with lots of lovely house plants. We very much enjoyed sitting on the two balconies during the hot weather. The bed is super comfortable (great for me as I recently had spine surgery). The location is also fantastic - there are very picturesque and grassy canals around the corner and tons of great places to eat a short walk away. All in all, we really enjoyed staying here and didn't want for anything. Special thanks to Lotte for being so welcoming and all your great tips! Hope to return soon!
Lotte's apartment was really wonderful. The neighborhood was great and the apartment was well decorated and clean. I wish it was my apartment! Lotte was very accommodating and welcoming - making arrangements so that we were able to stay the days we wanted, leaving a welcome bottle of wine and a list of nearby restaurants. Definitely would recommend!
Lotte is an amazing host. Her apartment is great, clean, well-designed and comfortable. It is fully equipped with everything you need (as it is described) for a perfect stay. It has a nice living room, fully equipped kitchen, nice bedroom and two balconies, which you will definitely use if you are lucky to have sunny weather. Great location and very nice neighborhood.
Lotte left us a letter with some great recommendations for cafés, restaurants, and places to visit. She was flexible with the check-in and check-out time. Highly recommend this place as it is a great addition to the Amsterdam experience, her description of the apartment is spot on.
Lotte's apartment truly is as described: lovely, well-appointed, conveniently located, and bright. We spent 10 days there, and it felt like home the entire time. It's close enough to the interesting parts of De Pijp (Albert Cuypmarkt, Museumplein, and so on) without being in the thick of the tourist bustle, and close to the RAI as well. More than once during our stay, my girlfriend and I said out loud: "This really is such a /great/ place to stay."
Lotte was helpful the entire way: easily reachable via phone, text or email, flexible with check-in and check-out, and not only walked us through the apartment showing us how to use the appliances, but also provided a personalized list of nearby restaurants, cafes and points of interest. Our time in Amsterdam was wonderful, and a large part of that was due to the great experience we had staying at Lotte's apartment.
Lotte is a lovely host. She was very flexible and accommodating when it came to checking in: we arrived at 6 in the morning, and she arranged for us to get the key early so we could take a nap. Also, Lotte made a list with a lot of nice restaurants in the area, making it very easy for us to get around and to feel at home.
The apartment is nice and spacious, well decorated and very light. We were lucky to stay there during a week with lots of sun and high temperatures, so the balconies on both sides of the house were great. The area is also a good place to be in if you want to explore different parts of Amsterdam and not only see the Rijksmuseum and the Red light district. You won't be in the tourist neigborhood, but instead get to experience local life with a lot of bars and restaurants, the Albert Cuyp market, all walking distance.
Public transport is easy, as trainstation Rai is nearby and trams are just around the corner. All in all: the apartment is great, Lotte is very friendly and the location ideal. We would definately visit Lotte's apartment again!
Lotte's apartment was fantastic- excellent location, great lighting, and super clean. Plus, the two balconies were amazing! We'd highly recommend this apartment!
