It is conveniently located between Fairbanks and Denali. The town of Nenana is also across the river, a few minutes drive. The town is very quaint with lots of nature, scenic walks, a cafe and General Store. Nenana is also known for its rich history of being a historic railroad town, Alaska native village and dog mushing town where the serum run began. In the winters, you can catch a ride with a local musher or view the Aurora when it’s out and dancing! Checkout the Alaskan Gallery (during the summer season) for incredible metal photographic art of the Aurora and other Alaskan scenes. Also checkout the Ak Rustic Co., known for specialty root beer and soda floats and beautiful metallic art, trendy Ak Clothing, and gifts (summer only). The hillside lookout on the property is where President Harding came to drive the Golden Spike at the completion of the Alaska Railroad. Visit the Historic Railroad Museum (during the summer season) in the town below to learn more about the history of the railroad.
