If you arrive in Olbia and are coming to the house via car you need to follow the street signs for Palau, then Arzachena and then Cannigione. It is approximately a 30 minute journey.
Very nice, clean, very good value. Everything worked as it should, and Antonella was the perfect host.
The sleeping rooms are downstairs, witch seemed strange in the beginning, but was nice during hot weather.
Wonderful area: Lovely beaches and a pretty little village.
The stay in Antonella's house was great.
It is a cute big house perfect for 6 people, with the advantage of having all the rooms in the basement helping to keep the bedroom cold during summer.
The location was good, it is situated in a little town with some restaurants but it is an strategical point to be if you want to move around the north of the island.
Thank you for everything Antonella !!!
Stay at Antonella was very pleasant and the host was also very helpfull with tips and advices. The house is very convenient and had everything needed for nice holiday. Thanks Antonella.
We stayed in the last 2wks but in the near by 2 bed apartment[ https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/423352 ] in august and had a fantastic time! Originally we had booked the above apartment but we then agreed to switch and the smaller apartment was perfect for us, the facilities were of a good standard and the place wasn't small. Antonella was great and provided everything we requested (travel cot & BBQ).
The tv has a HDMI socket so we took a media player with us for the kids which was essential for our stay and one i would recommend if taking small kids! also take some travel speakers as the tv speakers are pretty quiet.
The beach mentioned is only 10-15mins walk with 2 small children (2.5yrs & 5 yrs), it is perfect for this age group and was the easiest for us as the 1st beach is only 30-40 meters wide and a gradual beach with great snorkelling (fishes, sea urchins, sea cucumbers starfish etc). It is mostly used by holidaying italians and locals who were very pleasant.
The best (&frendilest) supermarket is the Dettori near Tanca manna beach, if your a foodie or cook it has a great selection of produce. Though not that much cheaper than London the Fruit and Veg were of a great quality and better than Waitrose!
The La conia restaurant is a safe bet and quite reasonable and we did not feel ripped off like some we went to. The Tavola Azzurra (near the church in Cannigione) looked quite authentic and we tried to get a table on our last night (saturday) but they were fully booked from 17:00hrs. If you do want to try it then call ahead and book in advance (phone number hidden)).
It goes without saying you'll need to factor in a cost of a hire car which for us was about £560. Also when we went it was towards the end of the holiday season and i could tell that some of the waiters and waitresses were a little 'jaded' but this did not spoil out holiday and we are seriously thinking of returning!
