About this listing
Stay in the heart of San Francisco with easy access to everywhere in the city
Welcome to our newly renovated two bedroom, two bathroom apartment located in Corona Heights (which is literally in the geographic center of San Francisco). Our place is within easy walking distance to many popular neighborhoods (Castro, the Mission, Duboce Park, Lower Haight and more) with lots of restaurants, nightlife and shops. Public transit including the Muni and bus are just down the hill. Despite being close to all the action, the house is at the top of a peaceful dead end street with ample street parking.
Both bedrooms have queen beds, and open onto our deck with a zen garden and gas BBQ. Corona Heights park is a hidden gem basically in our backyard, which offers panoramic views of the entire city after only a short hike.
We also have a people-loving tabby cat named Ginger, and we ask that you feed her when we are away.
We'd love to hear more about you and what you're looking to see and do in San Francisco!
Please also note that we cannot accept reservations form any one who smokes (either inside or outside of our property). We are allergic.
Other Things to Note
We appreciate you taking care of our cat Ginger in our absence, and she needs to be fed twice a day. (She is likely to reciprocate by cuddling with you in bed.) There is a food timer to set if you'll be out. Her litter box also needs to be cleaned every day or two.
Please don't park in the driveway (doing so blocks our neighbor's access and they will tow you).
There also is absolutely no smoking allowed either in our apartment or outside. If we find cigarette butts in or immediately outside our property, we will take it out of your security deposit. Thank you for understanding
This is a truly spacious apartment. It was far larger than we expected and very comfortable for our needs. The location was terrific for getting to and from great restaurants and other activities, particularly in The Castro. The location on the steep hill did make it a climb when on foot, but the view was well worth the effort.
The listing was entirely accurate down to the lovely Ginger cat who made us feel very much at home. Terrific location, lots of space, AND a CAT! Who could as for more?
It was comfortable staying at Liz's. The apartment, was bigger than I thought. Ginger, the cat, was really cute. The location was great. Parking might be a problem for those staying on weekdays. Overall, it was a good experience.
This was our first experience with airbnb. We have been to San Francisco several times, and on only one visit stayed in San Francisco proper, at one of the hotels at the Wharf, without our children. We were not sure what to expect. When we arrived, Lizzie met us. We were introduced to Ginger, and we knew that part of our stay would be to care for her. No problem. We are cat lovers. Lizzie showed us around and we talked about where we might eat dinner, what was near the apartment and we discussed care for Ginger. The apartment was extremely close to the bus line, and the view from the apartment and the park above the apartment was breathtaking. The walk up the hill to the apartment was not as daunting as we anticipated. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to come back to a spacious apartment, rather than a cramped hotel room. Lizzie was also very nice and welcoming and did respond to our texts promptly. We realized, after walking to and from dinner the night we arrived, that we did not fully appreciate the necessity to research the area of San Francisco where we were staying, especially traveling with our boys. The neighborhood we were in, taking public transportation, was not appropriate for children. Lizzie's place would be perfect for a group of singles, or a couple who are traveling without their kids and want a taste of city life outside the standard tourist stays.
The host wasn't there she did send someone in place that open the door for us and left instructions.
The neighborhood was great, and we loved the
Absolutely great stay in a wonderful condo as described. The location is near Castro, many Bars and Restaurants are just a footwalk away.
We also had no problems with the parking enforcement.
Ginger the cat was a great host ;) Thanks Lizzie for all - we definitely want to come back :)
