WHAT'S PRIVATE vs SHARED
Private to you: Your bedroom, in-room mini fridge, desk and TV
Shared guest areas: Bathroom (shared only between the two guest bedrooms, with privacy lock), Hallway Kitchenette, Bar-Style seating and chairs near the entrance
Please note: There are no separate communal living rooms
These shared guest areas are kept clean, quiet and well stocked by us, and are used exclusively by guests staying in the two guest rooms (not shared with hosts).
THE ROOM
This is our Luxury Room — the larger of our two guest rooms — designed for a comfortable, unhurried stay.
The king-sized bed, generous walk-in wardrobe and additional closet space make it particularly well suited to longer visits or guests who appreciate extra room to settle in. Fresh towels and an Electric Heated throw are provided.
There’s a dedicated desk with free high-speed Wi-Fi, plus multiple power sockets (7 in total), including USB-A and USB-C charging points. — ideal for working or planning your day.
For downtime, the room includes a Smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, BBC iPlayer and more, along with a mini-fridge for personal food and drinks.
Quiet, well-maintained and thoughtfully equipped, this room is intended as a calm retreat after exploring the city.
A GREAT NIGHT'S SLEEP
Our king bed is fitted with a high-quality sprung mattress featuring over 1,500 individually pocketed springs, offering firm, supportive comfort night after night.
It’s paired with a 7.5-tog pure duck-down duvet and feather and down pillows — a setup chosen to be comfortable year-round.
Many guests comment on how well they sleep here, helped by the calm setting and the gentle sound of the river outside.
TRAVELLING TOGETHER?
If you’re visiting as two couples or a group of up to four, it’s sometimes possible to book both of our neighbouring guest rooms together, creating a larger, suite-style arrangement with exclusive use of the guest area (two bedrooms, bathroom and kitchenette).

Guest access & arrival
You’ll have contactless self check-in using a keysafe by the front door.
Clear, step-by-step instructions with photos are provided via Airbnb before arrival.
Check-in is from 3:00 PM.
Early check-in and luggage drop-off are not available due to cleaning and preparation between stays.
Please note there are steep, historic steps leading down to the front door.
For security and smooth check-ins, there is a video doorbell covering the external entrance only. There are no cameras inside the property.
You’ll have your own key for both the front door and your private bedroom.
We’re nearby and always reachable by message or phone if needed.
During your stay
You might see us using our private section via the shared entrance, but we mostly keep to ourselves.

Self check-in is available for flexibility, and you can come and go as you like.
We have three cats: Skyler, Charlie, and Baldwin. Skyler and Charlie are shy and rarely seen; Baldwin may appear.
If you’re allergic, let me know and I’ll ensure cats don’t access guest areas.
Other things to note
This is a licensed homeshare within our home.
Guest bedrooms and shared guest areas are separate from our private living space, and are kept quiet and well maintained.
The bathroom is shared only with guests staying in the other guest bedroom and has a privacy lock. Guests often comment that the setup feels more private and convenient than expected.
Access to the property is via 13 steps, which may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.
There is no on-site parking and no luggage storage available at the property.
The setting is calm and residential, and is not suitable for parties.
