Traditional PR Mountain house with a calm vibe. Sitting on the balcony that overlooks the Atlantic coastline with a cup of coffee or glass of wine is perfect way to start, spend, or finish the day. Relax to the sounds of the coqui and El Yunque at night. The temperatures are perfect year round and AC is never needed. It is a gated neighborhood which gives a sense of privacy and security, but the houses are very spread out, so it is rare you will see another person or car.

The space
Welcome to my lovely home. I do the best to make it comfortable. I love the quiet and peace high up on the mountain. Nature is all around, yet only 30 minutes from the capital of San Juan and boarders El Yunque Rain Forest. The property sits on 2 acres with endemic plants and fruit bearing trees. Feel free to hike around the property to see what's in season. Waking up in the morning and grabbing a fresh bunch of bananas or mandarin orange is my idea of perfection!

Guest access
Guest will have the whole upper floor with a fenced in private green space, panoramic deck, parking, gated access to neighborhood. There is a downstairs apartment that is also on Airbnb so please be mindful of noise.
If you are a smoker, there is NO smoking inside.

Other things to note
All people welcome, little and big! This is the rainforest in the Caribbean. You will undoubtedly see bugs, snails, lizards, etc. Please don't be surprised if one makes it inside. This is the fact of life in nature. I do not fumigate as I intend to make as little environmental impact on my local bio niche. Every species has a purpose, and I plan on respecting the bio niche created.
The mountain areas sometimes have limited water. However, there is a 600 gallon cistern on sight. If you need help activating the cisterns, please let us know!!

This is a quiet neighborhood surrounded by lush forests. You'll find many fruit trees throughout the property and are welcome to pick what is ripe. If you're looking to just kick back and relax, this is the place. It is rare that you will will see or hear a neighbor during your whole stay as the houses are very spread out.

An English Professor of 12 years, lover of international travel, rescuer of animals! I have a beautiful home, and love spending time outdoors and around nature. My idea of hosting is a "hands off/hands on" approach. I find that many people have their own ideas of what they want while travelling. Some people are eager to learn more about PR and its attractions. Since I worked 2 years in tourism, I'd be glad to help travelers learn about the island. I enjoy having guests coming in and out of my home. Please feel free to ask me any questions about my house or the island!
