About This Listing
This is a second floor apartment located in Via dei Giubbonari, in one of the few historic buildings, served by elevator. Ideal for two people it can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people.
This apartment has been renovated in 2010, with all the modern comforts available, i.e.: independent heating, air conditioning (heat-dry-cool), wireless internet connection, flat screen TV, CABLE TV, DVD player with a collection of leading Italian movies and some movies for children. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, micro wave oven, toaster, American coffee pot. It is very elegantly furnished with original medieval “cassettone” ceilings and “cotto” flooring.
Plenty more could be said about this apartment and its wonderful historical surroundings, but the best thing to do is to experience personally their magic atmosphere.
We would like to inform our guests that from January 2011 the Rome City Council charges an overnight city tax per adult per day (for up to 10 days and excluding children younger than 10 yrs and Rome residents). The fee of €3,50 per day is not included in the total amount and has to be paid cash upon arrival.
We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The pictures don't do it justice and the bathroom is much bigger than it looks in the picture. We didn't get to meet Emiliano, but he responded quickly to all our queries, and arranged perfect airport transportation for us. Our recommendation is pay the extra 2 euros and get a reserved car rather than an ordinary taxi. We had the pleasure of meeting Peter, the owner of the unit, who was very helpful in letting us know about all the neighborhood essentials such as the world's best pizza and bakery right around the corner. Best feature of this apartment it is so close to everything, you are right in the middle of all of Rome's best sights. It's a walk to the Vatican and as well a walk to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, or the Colosseum. Apartment is located on a very active walking street with shops and restaurants but you will not hear any of it, this apartment is super quiet!
Emiliano is a wonderful host, he met me at the apartment with a bottle of wine and bread from the best bakery in Rome. The apartment is spacious and very well-located. Nothing is more than a 30 minutes walk, with many good restaurants a few blocks away. Although it's a very central location, the apartment is extremely quiet and safe. I hope to be able to stay here again when I return to Rome, thank you Emiliano.
Emiliano was a charming host who arranged taxis and was always and easily in touch and available. The apartment in Guibbonari was perfectly located, warm (in a good way!) airy and comfortable . MOst importantly it was quiet at night!
It was quite small and the bath took a very long time to run but it didnt matter as everything worked well and I couldnt have been more happy with my choice. Thank you!
