Check In
  • Charlotte is a wonderful host. My stay in DC was convenient, welcoming, and homey - highly recommended.

  • Thanks to Charlotte for putting me up at the last moment. These accommodations are conveniently located walking distance from shops and public transport. Your recommendation of the Provençal Seafood Stew at Black Salt [(website hidden)] was a good one.

  • I had a great stay, and Charlotte was a wonderful host. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Charlotte was very welcoming and friendly, and I really enjoyed getting to know her and her daughters throughout my stay. The house is in a great neighborhood and close to the bus stop, the Safeway, Starbucks, and other restaurants. Looking forward to seeing them again when I am back in DC in the fall!

  • Very pretty and cute room, cozy and warm, feels at home. Good location and nice neighborhood. Charlotte is very nice, kind and helpful!

  • Charlotte is a good hostess. Her home is lovely. My bedroom and bathroom was very clean and comfortable. The house was in a safe area with some resaurants/cafes nearby which I walked to when it was dark and felt quite safe. The bus stop is just round the corner so getting in and out of Washington was easy with a pleasant ride. I would certainly stay there again if ever I am back in Washington

  • Charlotte was terrific, very helpful and kind. It was a bit like staying with a close pal. She's personable, and the room was comfortable and quiet.

    April 2011
  • It's such a wonderful experience to stay with Charlotte and girls. Other than a cozy home I expected, I had a lovely Christmas Eve there! Watch Christmas, paint nails with Magret, Elanor and Charlotte... Most of all, to talk with Charlotte is a great pleasure. I will treasure this memory in DC dearly in my heart. And I am pretty sure that I would stay with her next time in DC. ^_^
    Happy New Year!

  • Our stay with Charlotte was terrific. The accommodations were top notch. We loved her neighborhood. Convenient access to the National Mall. Two blocks from Black Salt, one of the best restaurants I have been too. There is a well stocked Sunday farmers market. Fletcher's boat house is also nearby, featuring boat and bike rentals. My wife and I rented bikes there and took an awesome day trip to Great Falls. Charlotte is an exceptional host. We had no idea what we were going to do when we got to DC, but Charlotte is an encyclopedia of interesting DC activities and we soon had a full travel itinerary. We both look forward to revisiting Charlotte and her daughters.

Our latest addition are vacation properties for Washingtonians. See the Washington Vacations section on our website for homes in the nearby mountains. Take a few days away from the bustle of the city to explore our bucolic countryside little changed over the past 2 to 3 centuries. Visit wineries and orchards, significant Civil War battlefields and historic towns, hike the Apalachian Trail or follow in the footsteps of our founding fathers by visiting their homes. There is plenty to do that beckons you to leave the city for a weekend or a week. A bit about me...I am a former Californian who, after 12 years in DC, is now an honorary Washington native. Being well traveled both domestically and internationally has given me a great appreciation for the enrichment contact with others brings to our experience. I am well-versed on the "must-see" sights, monuments and museums of our culturally rich city, along with the unique experiences your find only in Washington. We share that insight with our guests in our property Welcome Guides which we send upon confirmation. We very much enjoy hosting visitors to our Nation's Capital and ensuring that they are able to make the most of their visit. Charlotte Perry Founder, LUXbnb Your short-stay source in Washington.
