The Space

Totally renewed apartment in the heart of Rome, in Trastevere neighborhood, in Vicolo del Cedro.
Completely restored, it offers a living room with double sofa bed, an open kitchen, a bedroom (1 and half bed), a bathroom.

Trastevere is a very particular district of the historical center of Rome: quiet as a country village during the day, hot spot for soft movida in the evening, with its large choice of restaurant, bar, artistic shops, trattoria.

On the same side on the river, you get Vatican and San Pietro in 15 minute walking of few #23 bus stop.
Crossing the river, you get all the rest of Rome, at walking distance.

Just around the building you will find all what you need: grocery, bakery, bar, restaurant.
Despite that, this apartment is very soundless.

Reinforced door, soundproof windows, Flat Tv Screen with Satellite, Home cinema, Internet, double air cond complete the comfort of this apartment, ideal base to move walking in all the centre of Rome

  • The experience at staying at this apartment was not very good. When we got there there was a very strong cigarette smell in the apartment that took two days to improve. We also had a problem with the kitchen sink in the first day that was leaking. Communicating with Davide was easy, he was very attentive and the next day send someone to fix the problem and spray some products for the cigarette smell in the apartment, that improved the smell but did not completely eliminate it. The place is modern and nicely decorated. However, the bedroom space is small, the bed is tiny for a couple. Sofa is very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. The location is good, and easy to get to every place is Rome. However the street is busy and sometimes there is a lot of noise in the street specially at night, with teenagers drinking outside. We would prefer to (email hidden) in the future.

Hi Mariane, you're right, it's true there was cigarettes smell, sorry. It's forbidden smoking there but last guests evidently didn't respect this basic rule.
Trastevere is the famous roman district of restaurant, bar and soft movida. Being so central has its price on some noisy, that's true.
FInally, I've just replaced the sofa bed with a new one.
    Thanks for your stay! Davide

  • Amazing location - just a block away from bustling night-life. This was our first trip to Rome, and the location made for a great way to wind down a tiring day sight-seeing with dinner/drinks before stumbling home and hitting the bed. The location is also well connected by buses to the major sites in Rome.

Getting keys to the place was a bit of a challenge as one of Davide's friends wasn't at the apartment when we arrived (around the time we had told Davide we would by email). We weren't carrying a mobile-phone; so we had to hunt down a place with WiFi to make a phone-call.

    Response from Davide:

    Hi Milind,
I am happy that you enjoyed your sat and the place, thanks!
About check in, please consider that I kindly remind, togheter with the booking confirmation and house instructions, to call by the way to the apartment, as confirmation. Arrival time communicated in advance can be very aleatory, due to flight delay, transportation, etc, and we can't wait hours into the apartment, sorry.
Knowing that, if some of my guests prefer to travel without mobile, they can call by a public phone/wifi text or...simply understand that they will have some waiting at their arrival.
    Thanks again,
    Davide

  • Ottimo soggiorno. Appartamento a pochi passi dai principali monumenti della città in quartiere molto tranquillo. Sebastian, "l'aiutante" di Davide è una persona molto gentile e disponibile.

    Consigliatissimo!!!

  • Davide (email hidden). He organised a transfer to and from the airport and was flexible when our flight was delayed. He gave us brilliant local restaurant recommendations and was at the flat when we arrived to show us around. His place was clean, modern and easy to stay in, a great location and perfect for our stay.

  • Great apartment in a great location - Trastevere!
On the main floor so its excellent if you have heavy or a lot of luggage!
Ideal for 2 or 3 people.

Davide and his friend were great hosts; Davide replied to my emails pretty fast and answered all my questions. We had a small problem one morning and I contacted Davide right away... He couldn't make it but sent someone to fix the issue and helped us out which was really kind of him.

    I would (email hidden) again!

  • A cosy, clean and mordern apartment in a great location (you can walk to a lot of tourist attractions and Trastevere is a vibrant area, so nice). Davide is an excellent host.

However, I suggest you to choose this flat if you are 3 people, not 4. Because the bed in the room is for one person. And for your information, the couch is in need of being replaced. We put the mattress on the ground to can sleep.

But except it, we had a very pleasant stay. Rome is magic !

  • A tiny apartment in a great location. Davide was an excellent host helping us out with additional accommodation at one of his other properties, and also with early-morning transportation to the airport.

  • I am studying abroad here in Rome and I found this apartment for my parents and brother to stay during their visit! I hadn't actually seen the pictures online as one of my family members had referred me to Davide (they had stayed at one of his other locations).
Davide (email hidden), he is very kind and easy to contact. We had a minor problem reading the password for the wifi, and Davide answered his phone right away, was patient and sent me the password via email, and it worked. He also let me know of the time change the night before my family had their flight home. I really thought that was a thoughtful thing for him to remind us of, as we would not have known otherwise.
The apartment is right in trastevere's main location. It is on the first floor of the building which was nice because my family had a lot of luggage. I was very surprised upon entering the space for the first time. It is very tiny. The space consisted of a living area, a small kitchen and a tight hallway leading into the bedroom also where the bathroom is located. It was too tight for my family, there wasn't any room to really walk around with their luggage in the living area. (My mom, dad, and 21 year old brother stayed here). However, this place would be perfect for a couple. Davide does have multiple locations in or near the trastevere area that would work out for more than two people.
The couch is in need of being replaced as it slants to the point where it is uncomfortable to sit on. At the time of their stay it was a bright red couch that did not have the white cover that is shown in the photo. My brother had to sleep on this pull out couch, and it wasn't comfortable for him, as it is in bad shape.
One other thing, my brother mentioned to me that he found mouse poop in the apartment, although never saw a mouse.
The description says there is a washing machine, but we did not see it anywhere.

Overall Davide (email hidden), and I will be staying at another one of his locations in a few weeks when I will have another visitor here in Rome!

    Response from Davide:

Hi Danielle, really thanks for your kind words. Washing machine was in the closet in the courtyard. I am sorry you did not ask to me. After that, I would like to assure your mum that of course no mouses were been there! Windows also have a grill for mosquitos, and no animals have the chance to enter into the apartment, and the building is well kept and clean.

  • First, Davide is extremely considerate, and I will definitely want to rent from him again. This suite was smaller than I expected, but the location is great.

  • I organized an excursion to Rome for 18 students and rented four of Davide's apartments in Trastevere. I stayed in Double Suite and really liked it. It's a very charming, spacious place with some exotic furniture.. The location could not be better -- a beautiful square, lots of cafes, good food, and a nice farmer's market right around the corner. Even though the neighbourhood is quite lively, the apartment is not noisy as it is in the rear part of the building, looking onto a small inner yard. All five of us immediately felt at home. The rest of the group was equally happy with Trastevere Big Pop, Suite and Windows. It was also fairly easy to arrange to meet Davide for check-in, and he let us have two of the apartments for the entire last day of stay which was great. Thank you very much for making our trip to Rome such an enjoyable experience!!

About
I am an italian guy into architecture, design, art, vintage and...animal most of all. My 2 dogs are the children I don't have. I have never liked "total Ikea" and "grandmother's apartment" that so often I see on holiday apartments market. I would like like to offer something different to my guests; some of my apartments are basic and easy, some other are quite luxurious, but all of them have an own personality, that probably cannot be found in a common hotel. I really would like to have respectful guests, easy going, smart enough to understand that comunication and flexibility are important in our relationship and that perfection in everything can be found at Hilton (maybe) ;) In any case, even if you will stay somewhere else, enjoy Rome and don't forget to visit some other wonderful place in Italy!
