First time on market! ! This is the one everyone has been waiting for - a unique local fave, family owned, and riverfront! Camp Fisher 🐻 is finally available to travelers near and far!!

Handbuilt in 1981, this cozy lincoln log style cabin has been updated to complement the cabin's camp like spirit. Relive those summer camp days with friends and family, enjoying the outdoors, and relaxing on the river.

The space
Camp Fisher Bear is designed to be a cozy, comfy retreat from city living. Camp/americana vibes, modern appliances (except that vintage stove/oven we just couldn’t let go of), fast wifi, smart TV, and luxurious beds to rest after a day of adventure.

The main bedroom is the National Parks room and has a California king bed, a sitting chair, and views of the river. You can even hear the river water gently floating by as you doze off.

The second and third bedrooms (the DEER and BEAR rooms) are almost mirror images of each other. Both with a queen bed and plenty of closet space.

The fourth bedroom upstairs is a personal favorite. Designed with kids in mind, the matching twin trundle beds comfortably fit 4 little ones with space for a pack and play. A little nook outfitted with a curtain and mini kid chairs make for the perfect kids fort or hideaway. As a bonus: the clock is combined with a sound machine.

The kitchen has a large pantry to store all the food you’ll need for your stay, a brand new retro-style microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, coffee maker, a tea kettle, a crockpot and a 4-slice toaster. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics for your stay. We love to cook while we’re there, so you should find everything you need to make a delicious meal. Coffee pods, condiments, and spices are provided. The pantry has a SHARE shelf where you can take/leave non-perishable goods.

The living room has a large leather sectional, plush carpet and 4 lux large beanbags. Unwind watching your favorite show or movie on the 65” smart TV or sit around catching up with your friends and family.

The game room is another personal favorite as an avid board/card gamer. Choose from a variety of games, start a poker game, or just sit and enjoy the river views.

Next to the game room is a bonus room with a futon. There is currently only enough bedding for the beds upstairs. If you would like to sleep in here, grab one of the trundle beds bedding from upstairs or bring your own sleeping bag.

The dining area has a long farmhouse table that seats 8. There is also extra seating for 4 on our live edge granite countertop. We love to hang at the counter with our cup of coffee or glass of wine and chat with whoever is in charge of the cooking.

The backyard overlooks the river and is the perfect place to grill and hang out under the large Douglas fir trees. There is also a picnic table and Adirondack chairs for outdoor relaxation.

Where you’ll be

Roseburg, Oregon, United States

This large 5 bedroom/2.5 bath cabin is conveniently located minutes away from several vineyards and breweries, the I-5 freeway, and many quaint local stores and restaurants. Nestled along the North Umqua river, the cabin is the perfect place to relax, try your luck at fishing, watch deer hanging out on the acre lot, look for minnows in the river, and if you’re feeling brave try catching those crawfish by hand.

During the summer months, join many others floating down the river from Amacher park to the cabin or start from the backyard and end at River Forks park.

Spend the day fishing from the backyard or head out to Ben Irving Reservoir or Cooper Creek reservoir for fishing and picnicking. Both in the spring and fall, you can find some of the biggest Chinook salmon around, while summer and winter steelhead is the main catch. You’ll also find some of the region’s best fishing for hard-fighting non-native species including astounding numbers of smallmouth bass and shad and some giant striped bass.

Spend the day wine tasting at 20+ wineries within Roseburg. While Oregon is known for its Pinot Noir, the climate and topography of this area contributes to its 70 plus varietals. And for families who want adventure, there are plenty of local farms to pick fruits and veggies, a famous drive thru animal safari, and hiking nearby.

We are the Mutka family (@themutkakidstravel)!! On the road for a good quarter of the year, we LOVE travelling! We’ve been to a lot of amazing places and national parks, but the Pacific Northwest will always have our heart. We often get asked, why Roseburg?! Situated between some of our favorite places - the Oregon coast and Crater/Diamond lake area, or even San Diego and Canada!, we love being able to balance both relaxing on vacation and being outdoorsy. (And I mean who wouldn’t want to stay in a life sized Lincoln log cabin on the river?!). Camping in our trailer has pretty much been the only vacation our kids have ever known. So it was pretty funny when our youngest son said "this place is my favorite campsite"!! We hope Camp Fisher Bear becomes one of your "favorite campsite" destinations too!
