Neighborhood highlights

The Hakuma House is situated on the Kalapana lava beds near the base of the Kilauea Volcano. The neighborhood itself is eclectic and a mix of rustic, off-the-grid creative homes and people who value elemental living close to nature. Besides being the sunniest, driest part of the island, you are surrounded by sweeping views of the volcano, the ocean, and black lava fields as far as the eye can see. Yet it’s very close to festive farmers markets, black sandy beaches, and gorgeous coastal drives. Enjoy this elemental vortex unlike any other! ALOHA!
