Neighborhood highlights

Historic Five Points is one of Raleigh's most upscale neighborhoods, boasting beautiful bungalow homes with front-porch swings on quiet tree-lined streets. The heart of the neighborhood is the six-way intersection on Glenwood Avenue with celebrated bars, restaurants, and vintage shops--just up Whitaker Mill Road from The Star at Five Points. In the other direction down Whitaker Mill, you'll find the creative hub Dock 1053, once a train loading dock that is now the home to artisan shops, cute restaurants, and most importantly, one of Raleigh's best breweries--Lynwood Brewing Concern.

Five Points is centrally located inside the beltine, and is easily accessible to downtown, Midtown, Glenwood South, North Hills, Cameron Village, and NC State. It is under 20 minutes to Raleigh-Durham International Airport, 30 minutes to Durham, and 40 minutes to Chapel Hill.

My work: Arts industry
Lives in Salt Lake City, Utah
I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, in 2016 and immediately fell in love with the ease of the city, the creative scene, the homey breweries and eclectic bars, amazing food, distinct neighborhoods, and of course the unbeatable weather! A friend once said to me, "Whatever you're looking for, you can find it in Raleigh," and I think that's so true. I found the perfect townhouse in my favorite neighborhood, Five Points, in 2018. A few years later, I visited Carolina Beach and it stole my heart with its laid-back vibe, colorful houses and buildings, charming and vintage feel of the boardwalk, and kind people--and how perfect the water is from May all the way through October! In early 2021, I made a dream a reality and bought a small condo right across the street from the beach. Not long after that, a job opportunity took me to Salt Lake City, Utah--but I am so grateful for my two homes that allow me to easily return to visit my beloved North Carolina. And when I'm not there, I'm happy to share these two places I love so much with others!
