About This Listing
Our home is located in a beautiful, secure and small-town friendly neighborhood. It is approximately 10 minutes drive from Stanford University. Our downtown is almost like a village and is a vibrant community center; the public library is also well visited and all are within walking distance from our home. There are many restaurants and coffee shops in the Village to enjoy a relaxing breakfast or meal, people watch and meeting the locals. We have bicycles for you to use and this is a great bicycle-friendly community. The room that I am offering to rent is a studio and has everything a visitor needs to enjoy his or her stay. The room offers a mini bar, microwave oven, and a large bookcase, Cable TV, WiFi and its own separate bathroom. The room has its own private entrance and exit to the backyard patio through a sliding door and backyard gate. Arrangements may be made to use our washer and dryer. I am sure you will enjoy our friendly community and your vacation.
Please, no smoking and no pets. The room is very comfortable for two people, but it might be possible to include one small child. While you are staying, you are welcome to use the back yard and arrangements may be made to use our laundry machines.
Iris is the best host ever! She is so kind and made me feel right at home during a long stay. The room is great - big with everything needed and very clean. The location is quiet, about a 15 min walk from downtown Los Altos (lots of good restaurants and nice village feel) and ideal for getting to work in the Bay area. Would definitely recommend.
The house is perfect, good location and very quite at anytime. The room has good privacy, independent door from the yard, you don't need worry about any issues when come back late. Comfortable bed matters and wood floor. And the most important is Iris is so nice, she prepared the welcome gift for me and very very warm hearted. We had very good chatting during my stay. I have to say I must stay in her house when I come back.
Staying at Iris' was fantastic. The room is bright and really clean and just like the description and photos. I really enjoyed meeting Iris and talking with her - she is quite a wonderful person. The room is full of pictures and photos from her travels.
The bed and bathroom were perfect. The kitchen was stocked with coffee and tea (thank you!), and there was a welcome gift.
Thanks again and look forward to seeing you again!
The accommodation was absolutely perfect. Iris was a perfect host, she took care that all is fine and perfect, even asked for possible improvements (they are not needed!) when I left. The room, with separate bathroom, was clean, bright, had a small kitchen (with a welcome gift from Iris) and direct access to the nice garden. Having an own entrance gives you enough privacy (would have loved to speak more with Iris, was very busy all day long). The bed is new, I slept perfectly.
Internet works very fine, no problems at all. I did not watch TV and play with the console, although available as well. Nor did I cook ;-)
The area is the best you can find. I went jogging and it was like in a park. Quiet, perfect neighborhood. You may take a bike to get around as well.
If possible, I’ll come again for sure (if not booked out), will try to get my bed here. 12 points out of max 10 !
Great neighborhood, easy commute to Facebook (about 20 min). Very private, quiet. Iris is a great host who is truly concerned that your stay is a comfortable one. Ensuite private bathroom makes it feel like you are staying in your own home.
Iris's place was as described, clean and with all the necessary to have a great night sleep, there is also a big TV. The location is very quiet and there is plenty of space to park your car.
Iris is a great host, very friendly and she will make sure you have a fantastic time.
About the Host, Iris
I reside in California, USA and my family like traveling to explore new world. I enjoy most outdoor activities as well as spending time indoors to catch up on reading and relaxing. Some of my daily activities include working out at the gym and taking guitar classes from one of the best guitarists in the country. I appreciate our fortunate lifestyle and try to return something good back to society such as recently joining a Church mission to Mexico to help to build homes for the less fortunate people; it was a fun and rewarding experience. Airbnb opens the window for us to meet the people from all over the world and be able to host them. I apprecite what I have and truly love the simple pleasures that life offers.
