Gawooh Adventure - Camping is located on the other side of the river in Shnongpdeng. To reach the campsite just follow the bridge across Umngot River and listen for the sound of the jungle. Our site is peaceful and very private; a romantic spot for couples or families looking for adventure. We provide a full package experience! From the moment you arrive, you will be catered by our team and in the evenings you can gaze at the stars by the light of a bonfire.

Gawooh Adventure was established from October/15 /2017. In 2017, it was just a small business and run only by the owner. The main product was just to make the customers happy when they visited Dawki river. Actually just to feel&see is not that enough, so we want to upgrade it by letting them touch and taste it at the same time that means to let them enjoy some adventure activities too. We never thought of doing a staycation for our lovely customers but because of the tourist demand in 2018 we constructed and completed two campsites and in 2021 we completed one Homestay/Cabin.

Shnongpdeng village is also known by the name "Paradise By The River," It is famous because of the King Crystal Clear River. Shnongpdeng village has the best tourist destination and attracts a lot of Travellers because of the crystal clear river and a river side cottage and camping. Travellers can enjoy many activities in the river during daytime, but during the night, we offer bonfire, BBQ with soft music.

Life in Shnongpdeng village is very interesting because of the crystal clear river, locals can enjoy fishing and swimming when they are bored with hectic work. But mostly for living, locals here are still practicing Betelnut/Betel-leave for those who don't have a proper job or proper salary.

In the tourism industry, almost 80% are young locals who run the business and did a lot of hard work for marketing. Nowadays tourism is the backbone of the village especially for young locals. Till now, there are no outsiders who interfere with the locals in the business because we (village authority) have strong laws and during the meeting we came with one voice that is we are not allowed outsiders to enter and do the business here.

Mostly locals here speak English 70%, Hindi 40% and khasi standard 100%
