It was exactly the way it was shown in pictures. Just remember it is a old New Jersey's house basement.

Response from Barbara:
The house was built in 1900, but the garden apartment was fully renovated in 2010.

The flat was okay. There was all what is on the pictures and a lot of kitchen stuff, inkl new kitchen towels. Barbara was nice and helpful. A bit more clean would be nice. Generally our stay in this flat was good!

Response from Barbara:
The cleaning lady came the day Alina arrived, I am not sure why there was still dust on the floors. I will let her know.

Barbara is friendly and wonderful. Her recommendations are spot on. The space is big and homey. The full kitchen lets you buy food and do your own cooking if you want to save some money instead of meals out while visiting. The stove and oven heat up fast so no time is wasted. The bathroom and shower are new and modern, great to unwind sore feet in. The walk to the train station is pretty much a straight shot and only takes a few minutes, then the trains take you right into different spots in NYC including the World Trade Center Mall which is amazing. This place felt like staying at home and was so much better than a hotel!

Barbara has a lovely place! It is the perfect size for my friends and I. Barbara was very good at communicating and even came over to help us at one point. The apartment is a 15 min walk to the train and takes about 30-40 min to get to downtown New York. It was very doable! Thank you Barbara!

We enjoyed our stay in this cute appartment very much. Barbara had to join a meeting so she asked where we are, while we stuck in the New York traffic and helped us to find her house. The appartment is situated quite central and quiet, so we had short rides to the PATH (train to to NY) and downtown NJ. There are lots of restaurants and small supermarkets nearby. Barbara provides very useful information by email and responses always fast.
