Fantastic Apartment in the heart of the city with river views. Refurbished by award winning A2 architects, this unique space offers modern, bright open plan accommodation with amazing views of the Ha'penny Bridge, one of Dublin most famous landmarks.
Recently renovated by award winning A2 Architects, my 2nd floor, open plan studio apartment offers the perfect location to stay in Dublin. Situated right beside the symbol of Dublin, the Ha’penny Bridge, you are in the beating heart of the city.
Everything is within walking distance, with Temple Bar and Trinity College for example just across the bridge and most other major sights a few minutes away . The airport bus is only 100 metres away, not to mention all the bars and restaurants just outside the door. Experiencing the true essence of Dublin couldn’t be any easier.
Previously a 66-metres (710 sq ft) two-bedroom apartment, it was renovated to an open plan, creating a large space that allows full access to natural light. From the window overlooking the river Liffey, you get a great view of the sunset and the feeling of the city passing you by. It’s deceptively easy to just sit at the window and watch as people cross the Ha’penny bridge. I have Wi-fi, a great bathroom and fully functioning kitchen.
Dublin is a conveniently compact city and my apartment is nestled right in the centre of it all, allowing for a hassle free, thoroughly enjoyable place to experience it to the full. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
NEW FROM OCTOBER 2013:
The sofa bed showing in the pictures has been replaced by a BoConcept Melo 6070 Double Sofa with reclining and sleeping function. Size as double bed is 173cm wide x 197cm long so suitable for one or two people.
*Sometimes it is possible to rent for less than 2 nights. Send enquiry with dates.
*If attending the Garth Brooks concert, possibility of renting for one night on 26th July or 29th July
*If your stay includes Friday or Saturday nights, usually minimum stay required is 3 nights
Location cannot be better. You are overlooking the River Liffey and directly above the beautiful Ha'penny Bridge. Cross the bridge and you are in Temple Bar with its numerous bars, restaurants, vintage clothes shops, Project Arts Centre, Gallery of Photography, Irish Film Institute and many other attractions.
Dublin two main pedestrian shopping streets, Grafton and Henry St are about 5 minutes away.
Trinity College with its famous Library is 3 minutes walk.
Dublin is experiencing a Renaissance after a long recession and every week a new exciting restaurant, cultural space or play is opening. It is a great time to be visiting!
The Aircoach bus from the airport drops you 5 minutes away. The LUAS tram stops in Jervis St 2 minutes away but the apartment is so central you probably won't be using public transport at all.
I personally wouldn't recommend car hire as a lot of the streets are one way and it can be tricky to drive around if you are not familiar with the city.
Nespresso Lattissimma Plus Machine provided
This is a nice place, and right in the middle of where we wanted to be. The host met us right on time, and we were allowed to check in early due to the arrival time of our flight. Everything you'll need is here, including a Nespresso machine!
Modern, clean, however it is a little noisy, but its a small price to pay to be right in the middle of the action. It is literally overlooking Ha'Penny bridge, and gets all the tourists outside.
All in all, I would highly recommend this place.
Our schedules never allowed us to meet, but Dardo's hospitality was amazing! The apartment is small, but it was very comfortable for four of us. It was very clean, and fully equipped. The location was superb--literally across the street from Ha'penny bridge. It is within easy walking distance to many sites.
The apartment was really nice, clean and in a good location. Just what we had been looking for. Temple Bar is just across the river!
The best thing about the apartment was our host Dardo though, he was always available, very accommodating, gave us advice on where to go, what to do and made us feel very welcome.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying there
Love this flat......Dardo met us at the door and then spent 20 minutes with us going through the flat and looking at a local map pointing out some excellent places to see and do. The flat is warm and very welcoming, perfect for wondering around Dublin. It is a bit noisy at night (expect that with the location) but Darbo provided some ear plugs which made sleeping easy. Everything in the flat is exactly like the pictures. Would certainly come back again.
Our stay at Dardo's apartment in Dublin was fantastic. It ticks all the boxes; clean, contemporary and a central location. There's nothing more we could have wanted really!
It was fully equipped with everything you need for a weekend break; toiletries, fresh towels, milk, cereal etc.
Dardo recommended some great restaurants and even during our stay, he was happy to respond to my texts when I was looking for a decent place to watch the football!
If I had to find one negative, it would be that the road outside the apartment was quite noisy, however Dardo had kindly left some earplugs, so it wasn't a problem!
I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a contemporary apartment in the centre of Dublin.
My family and I had a great experience at Dardos's home. The space was beautifully, very clean and beds were a plus - very comfortable. As a host, Dardo couldn't have been better, very nice, easy to communicate with and generous.
I highly recommend this place and we'll be back as soon as we can!
This is a great apartment in a wonderful location. The space is clean, airy, light and modern. Dardo provides everything you might need for your trip, along with very helpful suggestions on places to go and things to eat. We forwarded on his suggestions to our friends staying elsewhere in the city because the suggestions were so good. Everyone was quite pleased.
Some reviews have mentioned the noise level outside. This wasn't an issue for us, although a one man band did march past around noon. We later stayed at a hotel on Temple Bar, which was crazy loud. By comparison Bachelor Walk is a sedate place to sleep. Waking up to the Ha'penny Bridge is pretty darn cool as well.
I recommend this apartment and Dardo as a host. When we return to Dublin we hope to enjoy his hospitality again.
Perfect simple clean apartment in the center of it all in Dublin. There is plenty of room to relax and feel at home. Dardo was great with communication and helped us out with an early check in. Highly recommended!
Dardo was a great host and his flat was exactly as described! Excellent Central Dublin location close to it all. As others have described, the location is a bit loud in the evenings but that was all part of the charm.
Flat was very clean and efficient. I had everything I needed for my stay along with plenty of great local suggestions in the neighborhood. I would recommend this flat to anyone and will be staying there again when I return to Dublin.
Dardo was extremely responsive and right on time to meet me for check in. Although I didn't have any need to contact him during my stay (the flat was perfect), I know he would have only been a call away to help.
Overall, a great listing with a great host!
Dardo was a great and very pleasant host, very uncomplicated and quick in communication and absolutely helpful in all respects. The apartment is a great starting point to discover Dublin - sights, pubs, restaurants are directly next to the apartment. However the apartment is situated above a fairly busy road, so it could be quite loud, especially at the weekend. Nevertheless we had a great stay in Dardos apartment, thanks a lot!!
