We have never felt so welcome as we did by Alex and his family. They were just so thoughtful. His wife Satoko greeted us with a smile and a pot of tea. They gave us great advice on San Fran, with an endless supply of leaflets! The room and bathroom were spotless, and the bed was so comfortable. They provided a lovely breakfast every morning - the scones were amazing! Their house is the perfect location if you want to explore a few days in San Fran, it's not far from Forest Hill station and you can catch the Muni in.
We felt completely at home and would give 6 stars if we could!
Alex and his family were very kind. I was staying in the city because my sister was having surgery. I wasn't there much, but when I came in I had a thermos of hot water waiting in the room for me so I could make my nightly tea. Alex remembers the first time of request prior to my arrival and it was there waiting. The room was very clean and felt comfortable. The bed was the best part. I melted into it every night and floated away for hours. I left each morning early and it was nice to have a separate entrance in and out of the room. Parking was a must because I had my own car. It was nice to feel safe and secure in this neighborhood. During my stay there was an 6.0 earthquake, although centered in American Canyon I felt it. The house shook but it was fine. Being from California is something we are used to but still a little startled.
Alex and his family were absolutely fabulous. They were gracious and made me feel so comfortable. I was working the Outside Lands Festival and needed the privacy of the separate entrance. The room is comfortable and spacious with a wonderful work space and the bathroom and shower are terrific! I would stay again and appreciated their true hospitality.
Alex and his family were fantastic hosts. I would highly recommend staying here.
Alex is a kind and generous host. The suite and neighborhood are both as described, as well as peaceful and quiet. My schedule changed several times the same day as my arrival, and Alex still made it a point to meet me at the front door after 10pm in the evening, get me situated with parking, help with my luggage, and walk me to the suite. Alex went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. Thanks Alex!
