Basic double bedroom in a cute little house in the Medina. Shared bathroom with shower and hot water on the same floor. Perfect for those looking for budget accommodation and basic facilities (including Wi-Fi!) in a great location less than 10min away by foot from the Jema El Fna Square. Sunny and quiet terrace perfect to relax. All utilities included, bed linen and towels provided.

The space

The bedroom is small but has everything needed for a comfortable life. Two bedside tables, one with lamp, wardrobe for your clothes, big table and chair. Thick inside curtain on door and window to keep the room isolated from the cold in winter and the heat in summer so it stays comfortable without any major devices. There is one ventilator and one radiator available, though, in case it gets too warm or too cold.
The house is small but comfortable enough. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one fully equipped kitchen and a terrace which serves as a sunny lounge room. It also has a shaded area to cope with the heat of Marrakech.

Guest access

With the room comes access to internet, fully equipped kitchen with fridge, washing machine, cooking utensils, silverware and spices, bathroom with shower and sunny terrace with space to hang your clothes to dry.
The room comes also with towels and bed linen, so you can use that space on your suitcase for something else.

Interaction with guests

I like to go and meet the person at the square to walk them to house so as to show the way there. Then I come by the house two or three times a week and like to interact and exchange about the guest's experience if we cross each other's path. I'm also available at all times through Airbnb message or phone. It is ideal for independent travelers who still like to be able to have the insight of a local.

Other things to note

There is one cat in the house, Candy, and permanent resident. I buy the food and usually guests are happy to feed her twice a day and change her water.
There is also Nezha, cleaning lady and general helper, that comes roughly twice a week to clean all the common areas of the house. She does not enter the rooms if they are occupied.
There is one key for the front door and I provide locks for the bedroom door, if you require one.

The riad is very close to the medina. The room is a good size and I was provided with everything I needed upon arrival. The cats are very sweet and definitely made my stay that much more enjoyable. There is a bit of dust in the place (for those with allergies).

This is a very nice place and patricia is a very nice and helpful person! It is in the medina but not scary at all ( I was afraid a little in the beginning). Super!

Patricia is a very nice host. The house is in a quiet street in the middle of the Medina. We loved the roof terrace. You should love cats :)

Great house at a perfect location - in the middle of the medina, but still quite and private. Patricia was a superb host who made us feel very welcome - and the cat Candy made sure we did not feel alone at any time ;) Can definitely recommend this place to others who wants to be close to there it all happens!

Patricia was great and came and met us in the square to show us the way through the maze of alleys. Was very helpful with suggestions on getting around and what to see. The place has a kitchen and rooftop which was great for us to cook up some breakfast and lunch. Location was great also, only a short walk through the souks to get to the main square (Jemaa el Fna)

Response from Patricia:
Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. I am glad you enjoyed the great location and disposing of a kitche to cook simple meals. And sorry for Candy's rough play! Apparently, she calms down if you rub her forehead. I usually also distract her by giving her something else other then hands and feet to play with like a set of keys or even just a used toilet roll. All the best!

Cool place to stay in a quite alley right in the middle of the Medina (The best of both). Patricia was a great host, she stays a little further out in town but came over a couple of times to check in and make sure I had everything I needed. Recommend staying here if you plan on visiting Marrakesh!

Patricia met me at a prearranged location to guide me to the house. The house is very nice and in the Medina. The room was comfortable and clean. The showers had hot water. The internet worked well, given the location. Patricia is a very welcoming and friendly person. I very much enjoyed staying with her and I would not hesitate to stay again.

Living in Marrakech for over 6 years, I have extensive knowledge on the city and culture to help you make the best of your stay in the city and the country.
I still like the contrasts and contradictions, the fact that there is some order in the chaos. Moroccan people's smiles and helpfulness.
As a host, I like to meet my guests in person and give them a bunch of tips on how to best enjoy the city according to what their preferences are. A lot find that staying in my house in the old medina adds another layer of interest to the experience.
